It consists of veggies, chicken and tangy seasoning to add that great flavor. If prepared in large quantities, it will suffice as a single cold dish and a meal in itself. Simply have some whole wheat buns, bread sticks and glass of orange juice as supplement. Ingredients - 1 pack mixed salad greens - Half cup chopped green bell pepper - 1 tomato, chopped - 1 cup cooked shredded chicken - One quarter teaspoon onion powder - One quarter teaspoon garlic powder - Pinch of ground black pepper - Pinch of salt - 2 tablespoons of your favorite salad dressing of your choice. - Alternately, if you want to keep the salad very light, simply use some white vinegar or lemon juice. Choice is yours. Method In a large salad bowl as shown in the illustration, combine the greens, bell pepper, tomato and chicken. Add seasonings. Toss to mix with a wooden spoon. Sprinkle salad dressing or vinegar / lemon juice. Toss again gently with wooden spoon for a few seconds. Serve. |
