Title: No way out but to leave one's home
Post by: Heba E. Husseyn on December 12, 2006, 01:33:08 am
 salamem all ..   rdht

Here's something interesting that recently happened with my cousin.  'Recently' would mean less than a year ago.  But she lives in a different country so I came to know of it a couple of weeks back.

She and her husband bought a wonderful new house in the city they live.  They also renovated it to suit their requirements after moving in.  When completed was really looking wonderful.  They were really happy .. and who wouldn't be.  They had found the house of their dreams.  But all along there was something at the back of their minds which they kept ignoring and denying. A feeling that something wasn't right, that they weren't alone.  Lights would get switched-on on their own.  My brother-in-law would often hear his name being called softly from a distance in whichever part of the house he'd be.  But when he'd look around he would find no one.  My cousin said she often felt like a physical pressure around her neck but just couldn't explain it. They faced other problems too after moving in .. getting ill frequently, depression, pessimism, worries and a kind of premonition about the future and so on.  Breifly, they felt that bad luck was constantly following them.  They started reciting the Quran more frequently, which helped.  Then they began reciting the verses from the Quran on a regular basis in every room, every day.  Any day they'd forget, again strange things would start happening.  On a certain day, they were very busy.  They had gone to spend the day at a relative's house who was recovering from surgery. They came home tired and late.  They went upstairs to their room to shower, change and retire to bed.  While they were preparing for bed they heard a few loud bangs on their bedroom door, which was closed but not locked.  It wasn't just a knock but a bang, 4 or 5 times within a couple of seconds.  There was no one else in the house.  The main door and windows were locked.  It was the tailend of winter season and the weather was quite chilly.  They could hardly believe their ears.  As soon as the banging stopped, they began reciting the Quran.  The banging did not recur.  About 20 minutes later, they opened the bedroom door and stepped out.  The entire house was dark and silent.  They switched on the lights in every room.  Checked the doors and windows.  Sure enough everything was in order.  No signs of anyone breaking in or anything of the kind.  Now they were convinced that paranormal beings were living in the house.  Till this incident happened they weren't sure which way to go .. whether to believe their house was haunted or not.  But now it was all very clear and no room for any doubts.  The next day they decided to sell the house.  Selling the house took a while, a few months.  But they moved out immediately into a rented apartment.  The house is now sold but they still prefer to continue living in the apartment.  They say they have much more peace of mind now than they had before.  May Allah have mercy.  One never knows what fate holds

walaikum salaam Sister Heba  teethsmile  haven't seen u for ages sister.  hope all is well, or maybe not.  things sure went wrong with yr cousin.  this is one spooky story.  what exactly was the history of that house?  i mean - how old was it, was it close to a graveyard or some place where someone died and what do the neighbors say about that house etc.  in such a situation first u need to make sure that no one was playing any kind of trick.  reason for playing such a trick could be someone involved with the real estate guys might be interested in buying the property. so the best way to chase out the exisiting owners is to scare them.  i don't mean to say that this is always the case whenever people notice paranormal activities in their homes, but it's better to explore all possibilities, even the remote ones.  it must have been tough for the couple.  first, buying a house, renovating it, furnishing it, then experiencing all that misery and bad luck and then being forced to sell it away.  when people buy a house of their choice it's always with a purpose of living there for at least a decade.  but having to move out so unexpectedly and for such a reason must have been very hard emotionally as well as financially.  but peace of mind is most important which doesn't come from good home decor. nice to know that it's all over and they r happy now.  may Allah (SWT) protect us all.  we need His protection all the time. ameen.

wsalam Br. TS  :D  yeah things went wrong with my cousin but i'm fine alhamdulilah.

i haven't talked to them about the history of the house but it's not old.  my mother said the house was built about 15 yrs ago.  there was no foul play by anyone to chase them out.  that's for sure.  i was told that they didn't buy it thru a estate agent.  it was thru networking within their own circle of friends which is a more reliable way of buying property.  and there was no one waiting to buy that house that's why it took so long to sell.

it's just a matter of luck and fate.  i guess we should keep in mind that this is a risk involved before buying any property.  no one ever thinks of it but this possibility is always there no matter which house one buys.  it could be a mansion sold by rich & famous or just a simple town house.  and there's nothing that can be done to eliminate this risk.  u can only find out if it's there or not after u move into your new home.  thanks for yr response brother persian

 wsalam Sister Heba

You know, something so so similar happened with a family friend of ours about 10 years ago.  And they hadn't purchased that house, but had it built.  They moved in while the finishing touches were still being done.  After completion, they lived there for just 4 years.  Then sold it in a hurry for a throw away price.  They had to dispose of it fast before word got around that it's visited by jinn otherwise they could be stuck with that house indefinitely.  If the owners are able to sell such houses quick, that is being fortunate enough.  Thanks for sharing.  Must have been a terrible for them.

My father and his dad, that is, my paternal grandfather, both had seen or heard paranormal sightings.  Will relate about it later when i get the time, InshAllah
