Title: What is the Guarded Tablet and its significance?
Post by: Zainab_M on March 02, 2009, 02:46:53 am

BismEm

The Guarded Tablet (Lawh-i-Mahfuz), as mentioned in the Qur’an (85:22), is a tablet in which the Qur’an is safely written and lies in the custody of the Almighty.

"Nay, but it is a Glorious Qur'an.  On a guarded tablet."  (85:21-22)

The Noble Quraan is the work of Allah Almighty. No one is able to tamper with its contents during the period of its revelation nor afterwards, ever.  It is well guarded and well protected in a tablet placed in the supervision of the Almighty.

All former Scriptures of the world have suffered corruption at the hands their people.  The Glorious Quran is the only  Book which under a providential plan, has preserved its purity miraculously, and not a single jot has been changed in its text ever.

"Surely we have revealed the Reminder (i.e. the Qur'an) and We will surely be its
Guardian" (15:9).

Alhumdulilah, Alhumdulilah!  When Allah decides to be the Protector of something, no one can touch it with hurt nor deceit.  The miraculous preservation of the Great Qur'an for almost 1500 years has proven this fact beyond doubt.  It's for this reason that the skeptics never even try to argue on this point.  They have absolutely nothing to say.

The permanent originality of the Noble Qur'an and the huge sin involved in a person's intentions if they try to change the original Divine Words have also been confirmed by Allah Almighty in the following verses.

"And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, they who look not for the meeting with Us say: Bring a Lecture other than this, or change it. Say (O Muhammad): It is not for me to change it of my accord. I only follow that which is inspired in me. Lo! if I disobey my Lord I fear the retribution of an awful Day."  10:15  Surah Yunus

"Say: If Allah had so willed I should not have recited it to you nor would He have made it known to you. I dwelt among you a whole lifetime before it (came to me). Have ye then no sense?"  10:16  Surah Yunus

"Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah and denieth His revelations ? Lo! the guilty never are successful."  10:17  (Surah Yunus)
