"And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger - they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain.

But Allah took him up unto Himself. Allah was ever Mighty, Wise."

There are many online and offline debates where Muslims analyse matters to confirm that Jesus son of Virgin Mary was not crucified in response to claims to the contrary by Christians and other non-Muslims.  From the above verses of Surah An-Nisa, we do not require any more analysis to prove this point.  These verses openly and clearly assert that Jesus son of Virgin Mary was NOT put on the cross, instead Allah Almighty made him ascend unto Him.  The Noble Quran being the final and unchanged Word of the Divine Power, such an assertion by the Quran leaves no room for any other possibilities nor arguments.

"There is not one of the People of the Scripture but will believe in him before his death, and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them - "  (4:159)  An-Nisa

Allah Almighty mentions further in Verse 4:159, which is yet another accurate prophecy of the Noble Quran, that non of the People of the Scripture (which here would perhaps mean the Christians, or might include the Christians and the Jews) will believe in the ascension of Jesus son of Mary until their own death.  They will all wrongly believe that Jesus son of Mary was crucified and thus deceive themselves.  This truth about Jesus son of Virgin Mary not dying on the cross will be made known to the People of the Scripture on the Day of Judgment when Jesus will be a witness against their wrong belief. 

Exactly as predicted in verse 4:159, there's hardly any non-secular practicing Christian today who does not nurture this incorrect belief that Jesus son of Virgin Mary was not crucified.  They are all deceiving themselves with this incorrect notion.  They will only realise the truth when they pass away from this world and are raised again for the Final Judgment. 

Praise be to Allah Almighty.

That's right.  This issue doesn't need debates.





Very well perceived, sister Cat.  Yes, this is also another prophecy of the Quran.  If we read the Quran carefully, we come across dozens of prophecies which we might not have grasped earlier.  I think, as Allah keeps guiding a person, that person keeps developing the capacity of grasp more.
