He stood with giant holes in his socks and some donut dust on the left side of his trouser when he visited the Selimiye Mosque in Turkey in April 2007. Not to be outdone, the Turkish Hosiery Manufacturers' Association sent 12 pairs of socks after the incident.

Furthermore, I think he gave all his money to Shaha Riza when the Jew was smitten by this chubby Libyan and now he doesn't even have enough to buy socks. Wolfowitz is quite famous for his unimpressive, even not too clean, habits.
