Title: Cell phone and brain tumor
Post by: N. Truth Seeker on June 02, 2012, 10:25:48 pm
The latest from Yahoo! News ..

Although the overall risk is still very low, research suggests that people who have spent the past decade or more frequently talking on their cell phones in the traditional way are more likely to develop brain tumors.  The Wireless Association points out that no major American health organization has said that wireless devices are a public health risk.  But the World Health Organization has expressed concern.   It's true that the danger of texting or talking while driving poses a far bigger risk than the radiation may.  But considering that you can get an earbud-type hands-free set for as little as five bucks, why not take the safest track?   Most health experts agree with this.

That's excellent advise.  However, though money is not a consideration in matters like these, those earbuds aren't as cheap as 5 bucks.   They start from 25 bucks and can go upto 150 bucks.   And I'm sure the 25 bucks ones won't last too long.

Really?  but I think it's worth it.  I mean, why take such unnecessary chances.  Frankly, I don't use it but I'm now considering to get one.  Also encouraging my family members to use earbuds.

You're absolutely right brother.  That's why I say, money is not important for such a matter.  Be it 5 or 150, it's the right thing to consider.  I too don't use it though my husband and I have been pondering upon it since long.  When the cell phone rings, one always tends to lift it up and put it to one's ears the traditional way.  But as you said, why take this unnecessary chance of hurting one's health if it can be avoided, regardless of any hassles?
