Title: Loyalty of animals - unconditional, unquestionable
Post by: Ruhi_Rose on March 30, 2015, 11:27:52 pm
I read this a little while ago and thought I must share it before I lose the link of the site.

No one can possibly read this and not reflect on the creations of The Almighty and be moved.

Margarita Suarez was an elderly lady and an animal lover who lived in Yucatan, southern Mexico.  For years she fed stray dogs and cats everyday who came at the doorstep of her home for food.  Whenever she stepped out of her home, she often took a bag of food to feed other stray doggies and kitties she might find on the streets.

Early March 2015, Margarita passed away and her funeral was on March 15, 2015.  Then guess what?!  Everyone at the funeral parlor was surprised when a group of stray doggies appeared there, close to the lady’s coffin, to pay their respects and say goodbye to a kind and considerate person who fed them for all those years.   Employees of the funeral home said they had never seen those dogs around that place ever before.   Employees and visitors, all knew why the dogs had come (which was obvious) and allowed the animals to stay around and sit near the lady’s coffin.

The dogs only left once Margarita's body was being prepared for cremation.   No wonder they left then.  There’s a message here too.  Cremation being an improper and disrespectful way of saying goodbye to a loved one, animals are much quicker to sense it than the materialistic humans, many of whom opt for cremation of loved ones only to save money.  If she was buried, the dogs would undoubtedly have arrived at her graveside, as many faithful ones have done earlier – sitting by their masters’ or friends’ graves for days, weeks, months or even years.

Humans think animals don't have sentiments, that they don't communicate, that each one doesn't have a language of its own.  This story is enough to prove that wrong.  And so the Noble Quran mentions centuries earlier that Allah Almighty granted Prophet Solomon the privilege to understand the languages of birds and ants.

Subhan'Allah, amazing isn't it?  One can presume that the old lady died in her home, and so when she was taken to the funeral home in an ambulance or hearse, her body must have been covered on a stretcher or inside a wooden coffin.  These dogs were stray so they couldn't have seen her when she died inside her home.  Yet, they knew that the 'thing' carried away in a hearse or ambulance was she.  The dogs also couldn't have followed the vehicle as that wouldn't be possible.  Yet they knew where she was taken.  In case she died at a hospital and was taken to the funeral home from there, would make the story still more amazing how the dogs came to know of her death and arrived at the place where her remains were kept.

All praise be to Allah, The Greatest.  He grants perception, a sixth sense and sentiments to all species.

Much wisdom Sister Ruhi, very intelligently perceived.  While reading this story and before I arrived at this final paragraph, I was also thinking precisely of this fact as highlighted in the Quran.  How clearly it alludes that not only humans but all beings communicate and thus have languages.

Ya Allah, bless us all with knowledge and guidance.  Ameen.

Awesome!  just awesome .. incredibly thought provoking.  It can be explained as nothing other than one of the wonders of Allah from the unseen.  As br. TS analysed, there is no logical clarification or explanation for it.  Yet the doggies  knew what had happened, not just that but they also knew where to go .. not for food but to say a last goodbye to the one who gave them food.

And yes, a very factual connection with the Quranic elucidation as given by you, Sister Ruhi.

Excellent post.  May all those lacking in guidance and discernment utilize the messages contained in true stories like these to make themselves grow.

Thank you very much Sister Ruhi for this very deeply stimulating and absorbing post along with the wise points stated by Br. TS and Sis Heba.   I enjoyed reading every bit of this thread.

I also so much agree on your perception concerning those dogs realizing the ethical impropriety of cremating the poor lady.  The remains of every departed soul should be cared for with respect.  Cremation is not respect.  The kuffar's cremation is linked with pagan ideas while the Christian cremation sprouts from their miserliness.  The only and most significant respect one can show to the remains of a departed soul is burial - from dust to dust - by practically lowering the remains into dust.  But unfortunately misguidance looms large and Satan is finding too many friends these days.

Another point, those rotten eggs of AI have made fun of the Quran where the Noble Message states of Prophet Solomon pbuh being granted the ability to understand the language of birds and ants.  Their cheap cynicism insinuates the limitations of their own limited minds to comprehend how animals, birds and insects can have a "language" and their little pea-sized brain is still more incapable of gauging how a man can understand the language of other species.  That is because they are too small to understand the Glory of Allah. If a similar story as this one from Mexico was mentioned in the Quran, wouldn't those ugly ghouls of AI mock, taunt and heckle the same way?

Spot on, couldn't agree more Sister.

Exactly dear Sister;  you recognize mindsets with such precision.

Cremation is the most awful final interaction with the remains of a departed soul.  It's unfortunate how so many kuffar and christians cannot perceive the impertinence.  And of course, as we know, the Quran commands humans to bury their dead.  May the transgressors pay for their transgression.  The fault lies on those who carry out this very wrong practice.

Ha!  very rightly observed sister.
