Title: Ramadan 2017 concludes
Post by: Zainab_M on June 25, 2017, 07:27:33 am
As-Salaam Alaikum everyone.  Saturday, June 24 was the last day of Ramadan 2017.  Thank Allah Almighty that He granted us this opportunity to experience this month, this year.  InshAllah, may we see more of this blessed month so we can improve our book of record .. the only thing that will benefit us on the Day of Judgement we all await with pounding hearts.  Ameen ya Rab.  May Allah Almighty accept all our fasts, prayers and duas we offered in Ramadan 2017.  Ameen ya Rab.   Traditionalists observe Eid-al-Fitr June 25, Sunday.  Not a Quranic celebration but Muslims can observe it in a Halal manner.  It's simply a social event; has nothing to do with the Quran and therefore nothing to do with Islam.

Unfortunately our jurists bungled it up again.  Ramadan 2017 was of 29 days whereas it should have been 30.   First day of Ramadan was announced May 27;  it should have been May 26.

Ameen, ameen .... Walaykum As-salam my dear Sis.  Yes unfortunately Ramadan was only 29 days.  It was Saudi Arabia's idea and then all followed suit.  They just do what they want.  But Allah is Watching.

Wa'salaam Sister Ruhi :)   Enjoying holiday at home with family or going sight- seeing somewhere?  Has your sis and family left or still with you?

No sis, not going anywhere.  Enjoying at home.  Yeah my sis and her kids still with us :)  My sis and kids have come here many times before and have seen most landmarks and shopping centers.  The purpose of this visit was to spend Ramadan together. Brother-in-law also joined a week ago.  They'll be leaving next week InshAllah.  Had a wonderful, wonderful Ramadan, everyone together and was very good orientation for all our children.  Plenty of thanks to Allah Almighty.   May HE accept our efforts.  Ameen.

Might take my sis for a bit of shopping after a couple of days, InshAllah.

MashAllah, sounds absolutely great.  I know how lovely a it feels to spend Ramadan with immediate family.  Indeed it's very helpful for children.

Allah bless.  Ameen ya Allah.
