This image above captioned with Verse 2:221 was found in Pinterest. (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/517280707190657167/) Whoever has saved this pin is obviously a male. He has cleverly quoted only a portion of Verse 2:221 which discourages Muslim women from marrying disbelieving men. But before that, the same Verse also similarly discourages Muslim men from marrying disbelieving women. This Pinterest member has conveniently ignored that, probably because he has himself married some mushrik woman or commits zina with non-Muslims (though committing zina is just as much prohibited with Muslims as well as non-Muslims). This attitude is very common. Such men deserve a kick in their rear. It's because of manipulative mindsets like these that ignorant Islamophobes claim the Quran to be misogynistic. Let me quote the complete Verse 2:221 in this regard: "Wed not idolatresses till they believe; for lo! a believing bondwoman is better than an idolatress though she please you; and give not your daughters in marriage to idolaters till they believe, for lo! a believing slave is better than an idolater though he please you." (2:221) Al-Baqra, Noble Quran. You can read it yourself. In the most Noble and Sublime Quran, The Almighty has elucidated exactly the same moral standards for both genders. It's a very common attitude and a very despicable one. What can be more sinfully selfish than misreporting the contents of the Quran to serve personal interest? Only the lowest of the low would be capable of that. The person who posted this at pinterest is a stark example of such lowliness.

Indeed such folks deserve more than one kick up their rear.
