Title: " .. when the contents of the graves are poured forth"
Post by: Ruhi_Rose on November 24, 2017, 11:45:51 am
 BismEm

BismAllah ....  and as-salam alaykum everyone.  My post is about Verse 9 of Surah 100 (Al-Adiyat).  For contextual sequentiality, I'm quoting Verses 9 to 11 of this Surah.   The emphasis on the underlined words.

"Knows he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth
And the secrets of the breasts are made known,
On that day will their Rab be perfectly informed concerning them."  (100:9-11) Surah Al-Adiyat.

A few days ago I told a Hadithist sister about the far-fetched inaccuracies of the Ahadith on punishments in grave and how out-of-line they were compared to Quranic values.  She refuted it as usual and quoted Verse 100:9, saying it meant the display of the bundled up sins stacked up in the grave.  I know it doesn't mean that.   Pouring forth of the contents of the grave is used in a symbolic sense implying The Almighty confronting the sinners on the Day of Judgment with questions for which they will have no answers.   Am I not right?   Your feedback please so I can again put some clarifications before that very foolish and stubborn sister.

Walaikum Salaam.    You're one hundred percent right Sister Ruhi.  As usual that Hadither is locked in ignorance.  The Quranic expression in Verse 100:9 "contents of the graves are poured forth" is a metaphorical description of the Day of Judgement when the sinners and skeptics will be shocked and bewildered to see their book of accounts where every deed of theirs will have been noted.

"On that day you will be exposed; not a secret of you will be hidden."  69:18.

"And the Book is placed, and you see the guilty fearful of that which is therein, and they say: What kind of a Book is this that leaves not a small thing nor a great thing but has counted it! And they find all that they did confronting them, and your Rab wrongs no one."  18:49.

Alhumdulilah.   As explained in the above Verses, this is exactly what Allah Almighty refers to in Verse 100:9.

Oh!  thanks a bundle me sis!   InshAllah, I'll track that Hadither and show her the other two Verses.  All praise be to Allah, The Almighty.

Well explained Sisters.  What I've observed time and again is that hadithists simply pick Quranic words from Ayats and link them up with hadith narrations without focusing even for a minute on the actual message of those Quranic Ayats.   One of the appalling examples of this deluded approach of hadithists is the comical misinterpretation to support the false hadith "sun rising from the west on Judgement Day" by misquoting NASA. They do that intentionally, more often than not.  Even if they know or are able to grasp the correct explanation or reference of a Quranic Ayat, they would prefer to ignore it and select a wrong explanation to assist the literature of baatil called Hadith.

Very correctly perceived sister.
