Insh'Allah.     The blessed month is gradually moving into the spring season.  Peak summer months are generally the hardest.   I thank Allah profusely for granting us the strength and perseverance to have successfully completed one entire cycle of summer fasts stretching over a decade.  Ameen ya Allah.

Insh'Allah ......

and yeah, right brother.  Actually in this part of north America, spring is just as cool as winter in many other warmer lands.   As time goes by, days of fasting will move from cooler to cold for the next decade or so.  Insh'Allah.   How many slaves of The Almighty are destined to live through this decade-long cycle of spring & wintry fasting days is only known to HIM.   The most important aspect is, may HE grant us the good health and strength to derive the maximum blessings through our efforts in these months ..... and until the day we leave.  Ameen ya Rab.

Ameen, ameen.  Very poignant point, sister and brother.

May HE accept our efforts and may we all meet in Jannah on that Day .... the ultimate triumph.   Ameen again.

BismAllah Ar Rehman Ar Raheem.   As-Salam Alaikum dear everyone.

InshAllah, we expect Ramadan 2020 to begin on April 24.   May Allah The Almighty grant us the opportunity to go through this very blessed month as best as we can to accumulate maximum blessings (barika) from Him.

As you would all know, at the moment the entire world is going through very trying times filled with stress and uncertainty because of an extremely infectious pandemic that's running free in all communities across the globe.  All prayers and tarawi must be at home.  Though it feels inexplicably sad to watch our masjids closed particularly in the blessed month of Ramadan, these are the times we need to remind ourselves that as Muslims - submitters to Allah only - what counts most in His Sight is our intent.  With a sincere heart and soul, our prayers, tarawi / daily reading of the Great Quran and our zikrs will be just as good as done from the masjids, InshAllah, ameen.  The important aspects are sincerity and total concentration on our ibadah (عبادة) with the spirit to implement the values of the Quran in our daily lives and thoughts.

Please pray for our suffering sisters and brothers of Palestine, Gaza, Yemen, Kashmir, the Rohingyas and other similar targets of oppression. May their suffering ease at least during this blessed month.  Please pray to Allah Almighty to intervene in our lives and not leave us on our own, and to assist us to eradicate this terrible pandemic which perpetually threatens our lives, the lives of our families, our dear parents and so many others particularly the elders.  Ameen.   May The Almighty grant us courage to get through this very exacting time.  Ameen.

May Allah The Almighty bestow on us a very blessed Ramadan.  Ameen ya Rab, ameen.

May we all meet in Jannah on that Day.  Ameen ya Rab.

Ameen, ameen.   Ya Allah, ameen.

Allah bless you dear Sister Heba for confirmation of this announcement and your very comforting and truthful thoughts.

May the blessed month grant us a chance to acquire more barika, and then, eventually may we all meet in Jannat.  Ameen, ameen, ameen my Dearest Allah.

Ameen, ameen.

You're hugely welcomed my dear sister Zeynab.

This is a fleeting world with a fleeting life.   We just need to have courage with the strongest of Faith in Him alone.  Ameen.

Ameen, and shukran for the superb announcement.

May the blessed month pass safely and smoothly for all of us.   A very unprecedented global phase when no one can say they aren't experiencing unexpectedly difficult times and much trauma.    We simply need Allah by our side.  Without His direct assistance, we are nowhere.

All of you are in my prayers.  Please keep me and my family in your prayers too.  May the blessed month bring us greater peace and barika.   InshAllah, ameen ya Rab.

Ameen dear sister Ruhi and family.  Always in our prayers.

Btw sister, how are you planning the annual marathon Ramadan shopping this year?
  :)

😕 Thanks for asking dear sis.   Well, not with the same enthusiastic spirit as in previous years.

We had to plan well in advance mostly via online shopping.   Ordered all essentials nearly a month ago as online slots are heavily booked.

My husband and two of his brothers went to purchase some additional provisions not available online also more than 3 weeks ago (including toiletries and cleaners).  We just didn't want to keep things for the last minute.  But with all the panic buying going on at that time, it wasn't easy getting everything we needed

But Alhumdulilah, we're fairly okay, at least for the time being 🥺      How about you, sis?    I was worried for Sister Zeynab as she's by herself.  But was in touch with her via email and Alhumdulilah, things are okay at her end.

Nice to hear that sis Ruhi.   Yes, by the Grace of Allah, sister Zeynab also told me she's managing though not easy.  Same with us.  We've stocked up on enough food for Ramadan, Alhumdulilah.  We may just have to pop out for some perishable items a couple of times.   Not happy days for anyone.  Our only hope is to make plenty of du'a throughout the blessed month.

As-salam Alaikum my dear, dear everyone.  Ramadan 2020 has ended.  It was a very different Ramadan because of the prevailing circumstances.  But big thanks to Allah as we were able to observe all our fasts.

It's a quiet day for us all to relax and continue remembering HIM.

Eid celebrations for those who do will be very quiet this time.  Only with immediate family.  Even Eid prayers will be at home.  The Jam'at will be only members of your immediate family.  Those who are alone will have to pray alone.  But in the Sight of Allah it's alright, just as long as you sincerely love and obey Him.  Alhumdulilah.

Some of our bigger Islamic centres are distributing sweets & loot bags to families and their kids via drive through arrangement.  They will also drop off sweets to seniors at their doorstep.

May The Almighty be with us through these very hard times.  My best wishes and salams to my dear, dear MV folks 😐

Walaykum As-Salam my dear Sis.  What a lovely message.  Yeah we've just finished our Eid prayers (we usually offer as nafl to thank Allah at the end of Ramadan) at home.  About 4 or 5 families consisting of my close relatives got together during prayers via zoom.   Sweets and loot bags will be given at Islamic Centre at 10.00 a.m., yeah via drive thru.    Kids are already waiting  😊    It'll be a bit of an outing for them but no one is allowed to exit from the car.

Hey sis, one question regarding the 2 rakats of Eid prayers.   It has 12 takbeers, 7 before first rakat and 5 before the second rakat.  Do the first 7 takbeerat include the obligatory takbeer before first rakat in which we raise our hands up to our shoulders and then start our prayers?

No sis, the 7 takbirs are in addition to the obligatory takbir or takbir tahrima that's said before starting the salah.  In the second rakat the obligatory takbir is included in the 5 takbirs.
