Title: 'Dissident'
Post by: Zainab_M on January 22, 2021, 01:14:33 pm

Here is a short clip of the documentary movie 'Dissident.'  Excellent documentary, very well produced.  It's about the gruesome murder of Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.    A very tragic occurrence,  only because Mr. Khashoggi as a journalist didn't agree with many of the policies of the Saudi government.

Most of all, feel truly sorry for late Mr. Khashoggi's fiancee, Turkish born Khadijah Cengiz.    They were engaged, deeply in love and preparing for their marriage.  That's the reason Jamal Khashoggi went to the Saudi consulate to get his divorce papers to finalize divorce from his first wife so he could marry Khadijah.  The Saudi consulate offered to help him in this regard.   But when he went there, this is what happened.  Quite obvious that the murder was preplanned.  Jamal Khashoggi disappeared and never stepped out of the consulate while Khadijah waited and waited outside until she knew something terrible had happened.

When they arrived at the consulate, they walked hand-in-hand up to the entrance of the consulate.  Then he went inside and she waited outside.  Had everything gone well, it wouldn't take him more than 30 minutes to return, or maybe quicker.  But little did Khadija know it was the last time she would see her beloved future husband.  Absolutely tragic!

Everyone must watch the full movie, if they can.

Wonderful clip but totally heartbreaking  😥    As for Jamal Khashoggi is concerned, Inna Lilahey wa Inna Lilahey Rajoun.   May Allah Almighty grant him peace and compensate him for the pain he suffered at the hands of the criminals.  Insh'Allah indeed those psychopathic criminals who did this and ordered it will be brought to account, completely and fully, on the Day of Judgment before The Almighty.   Divine Justice never falters, never.   Poor Khadija's  earthly life has been shattered, however.  May Allah grant her strength and perseverance and unite her with Jamal in Jannah.  InshAllah, Ameen.

I've seen the full movie.  It's superb but very distressing.   May Allah (Subhan Wa'Tala) have mercy on innocent victims.   This world is getting too full of injustice  😟

Oh you saw it?    Where, Netflix?  Theaters are closed because of Covid.

No, not at theaters.  Even if the theaters were open we would never go with Covid raging away.   It's not even available at Netflix yet.   It's available on rent across certain digital platforms like Prime Video, Apple TV, Redbox.  I guess you can even purchase it from one of these outlets.  Costs around $25.00 or so.

The clip is very good.   InshAllah, I'll tell my husband if he can find it from any of those sources brother TS mentioned.

This is another one of those things about which that scoundrel Trump did nothing.   On the contrary he protected his friend.    He would always stand for the bad guys, that sob.

True Sister Heba, Trump was his buddy and literally protected him after the fallout he faced from the international community.
