Title: Every person receives what they have earned (Surah Bani Israel)

Reflections on the Quraan

A disbeliever who never reflects on the existence of Allah or the Hereafter but works hard in this world for earthly benefits will be given his reward and success in this temporary life.  But on account of his disbelief, he will achieve nothing in the next World.  Thus, Allah gives both the disbeliever and the believer their share of benefits that they have earned for themselves as expounded beautifully as follows:

Whoso desires that (life) which hastens away, We hasten for him therein what We will for whom We please. And afterward We have appointed for him hell; he will endure the heat thereof, condemned, rejected.

And whoso desires the Hereafter and strives for it with the effort necessary, being a believer; for such, their effort finds favour (with their Rab).

Each do We supply, both these and those, from the bounty of your Rab. And the bounty of your Rab can never be walled up.   (Glorious Quraan 17:18-20)

Alhumdulilah, I came across Verses 17:18-20 during my daily Quran reading session and I was wondering if we had taken this up here at MV.  Thank Allah Almighty, when I searched with these Verse numbers, it brought me here.

I think this is connected the detailed post on Good conduct without belief NOT enough to enter Paradise. (http://muslimvilla.smfforfree.com/index.php?topic=4539.0)    Really very few people including Muslims understand this aspect.  I would request everyone to combine both these posts and read carefully.

That's right Sister Ruhi.  Thanks for putting up the link.  These two posts are certainly connected .. and very important to know and understand.
