Everyone must have heard of the hullabaloo about Siberian tigress, Tatiana, escaping from her cage and attacking a few visitors at the zoo's coffee shop, killing one of them and critically injuring two others.  Of course, eventually she was shot dead by the police.  The television report said that the police is treating this as a "crime scene."  My question is, who's supposed to have committed the "crime" .. the animal or the careless zoo keepers?  Neither way does it define the occurence of a "crime."  Americans just need to blame someone for everything that happens.

I think the police suspected that someone, perhaps one of the zoo keepers, purposely let out the tiger.  That's how they linked it to a crime scene.  But nothing as such was disclosed.  Apparently it was an accident.  The poor tiger kept in captivity simply became angry and impatient.  Very elegant pic!  Cheesy

Actually now it's seruously considered that the visitors teased the tiger that got her irritated .. so she found a way to escape from her cage and take her revenge.  That's how smart animals are.  They too have their self-respect and they sure care for it more than humans do.  Check the following story titled:

Taunting a factor in tiger attack

By LISA LEFF and TERENCE CHEA

SAN FRANCISCO - Police believe the three people mauled by a tiger yelled and waved at the cat from atop a railing before it lunged at them, but experts say that's only a notch up from the type of taunting animals regularly endure at the nation's zoos.

One study concluded that as many as one in four zoo visitors razz the animals in some way, and large predators like tigers are a prime target.

Thus, zoo visitors should learn to behave themselves when they go to the zoo.  Unfortunately, they are the ones who behave more like the usual term 'animals' while the actual animals in the cages seem far more civilized.
