It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

June 28, 2023, 09:48:39 am Zainab_M: Walaikum As Salaam.  This was the first Hajj open to all after the pandemic. It was attended by 2.6 million Muslims.

For learning the correct pronounciations of the Ayats of the Glorious Quraan, you can listen to the Arabic recitations in audio and also read the transliterations of all the Surahs.  Check out the many links below.

Thanks brother Smiley  Recently I was trying to find the original Arabic pronounciations for Verse 21:83 (Surah Al-Anbiya) which is an excellent dua.  I learnt the English translation of this Verse.  Then I thought it would be still better if I recite it regularly in original Arabic.  That led me to find this website.  I was reminded of the importance of trying, as much as possible, to adhere to the correct pronounciations of the Surahs and Ayats we recite everyday during our salaat and otherwise.  Reading only the transliterations can often lead to incorrect pronounciations.  But a clear recitation compliments the transliteration.

"Wa Yooba ith Nada Rabbahu Annee Mas-Saniya Ad-Durru Wa-anta Arhamu Ar-Rahimeen."  (21:83)

(Lo! Adversity afflicteth me and Thou art Most Merciful of all who show mercy).

Thanks brother.   I didn't know about this.  I'll certainly look it up, InshAllah.

If you're able to find any convenient online Arabic to English dictionary, do please post it here.  I came across a couple of sites that was supposed to translate Arabic to English and vice-versa, but when I tried to work on it, it wouldn't respond.

Salaam / peace

Peace be to you Sister Zeynab,

Have a look here >>> www.studyquran.co.uk for lots of dictionaries. On the bottom left, you will find the Project Root List. That lists many root words used in the Qur'an. Most probably you know what roots are, just incase, most arabic words are composed of certain root letters which convey the original various meanings of the word.

I use yaqb.org frequently.  Once you're there, click on Look Up. In the box there, type in Verse reference in the following format, say you want to see Verse 2:31 >>> simply type in 2:31 and it will throw up various translations, you can add and remove translations by clicking on the starts highlighting and de-highlighting them on the top right.

You can search more than one Verse in one go. Simply seperate the Verses by a space, so if you want to search 2:31, 19:5, and 7:13 its >>> "2:31 19:5 7:13"

Assalamu alaikum sister.

Ramadan reminder - to all believers

As per the temperament of human nature, certain Surahs feel most soothing at certain times.  For example, Surah Yaseen is often read when someone is ill.  Surah Rahman is usually read when there's a death among family or friends.  Surah Muzammil or Surah Wak’ea can be read for improving the livelihood conditions.  Surah Al-Falak and Surah An-Nas are recited for protection or refuge from evil, often known as the two cries for protection.  Surah Ikhlas is of course the essence of Tawheed or Monotheism.

Therefore, click anyone of the above links and keep the recitations going whenever you are free and able to listen uninterruptedly.  It will bless your home.  Particularly in Ramadan, don't miss listening to the original recitations of the Noble Quran.  Ramadan is the month of the Quran.  It is the month when this Noble Book and the biggest Mercy from Allah began being revealed.

I usually listen to the original Arabic recitations on IslamiCity link, along with English translations.
