It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

 BismEm

The following list consists of the negative changes introduced by Muslims much after the passing away of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be on his soul).  Please note, these interpolations as given below have no connections with the Noble Quraan.  The Quraan gives us no warrants to presume such matters.  These are simply inventions cooked up by people for reasons of their own, having nothing to do with the Quraan.

I repeat, the contents below, many of which are commonly practiced or accepted in Muslim communities are totally, are NOT in accordance with the values and rulings of the Noble Quraan.  All of the following practices and ideologies have been taken either from pagan values, or from the altered Christian & Jewish Scriptures or simply concocted to serve personal interests of the clergy or other influential people.

-  To think that the Quraan is "incomplete" and cannot be understood without the explanations of Hadith, fatwas and other books.

-  Accepting Hadith as a source of Islam and putting it beside the Quraan.

-  Accepting fatwas as a source of Islam.

-  Attributing false sayings and narrations to the Prophet contradicting the Quraan.  This consists of a big list of points from all Hadith collections.  We will list a few here.  Please look out for the rest.  Anything not compatible with the Quraan, directly or indirectly, should be ignored.

-  Giving more authority to the Prophet than mentioned in the Quraan.

-  Writing insulting narrations about the Prophet.

-  To formulate religious precepts ascribing them to the Prophet.

-  Dividing the Muslim Faith into sects of Shiias and Sunnis.

-  Dividing the Muslim Faith into madhabs (Hanafi, Shafi, Malki, Hanibali, Jafaari).

-  To claim that the majority are always right.

-   Making distinctions between the various Prophets.

-   Growing an untrimmed beard as obligatory.

-  Using miswak to clean the teeth as obligatory.

-   To make saints out of Muslim spiritualists and to visit their graves performing reverential rituals.

-  To idealize the imams and sheikhs as special and infallible.

-  To make different classes / categories of imams, shiekhs and ulemas.

-  Looking upon Arabic social customs and traditions as religious practices.

-  Claiming to be a 'reformist'  with the intent of changing the Quraanic values and commandments.

-   To reject reason and accept blind following of whatever is claimed by the clergy.

-   Rejection of arts and science.

-   Not allowing women to travel without male escort.

-   Blind obedience of a woman toward her husband, regaradless of her wishes.

-   Not allowing women to become head of state.

-  Woman's voice should not be audible to men in a gathering.

-  Not allowing women to pray at mosques.

-  Disallowing women to wear perfume or makeup.

-  Stoning of adulterers.

-  The leaf containing the verse on adultery was eaten by a goat.

-  Disallowing men from wearing gold and silk.

-  To use one's right foot first while stepping out of the house, while stepping into the mosque and while getting out of bed.

-  Disallowing to eat with left hand.

-  Considering dogs to be unclean or unIslamic, and ordering to kill black dogs.

-  Considering black cats as a premonition of bad luck.

-  Please note, the Noble Quraan only prohibits us from using pigs as food.  But Muslims today also consider the mere existence or presence of pigs as bad and evil.  This is an exaggeration.  I repeat, as per the dictates of the Noble Quraan, pigs are totally prohibited as food.  But as mere living beings, pigs are just like any other animals and the Quran does not give us any reaason to think otherwise.  For complete information on this issue, please check the this post.

-  Considering the celebration of birthdays as unIslamic.

-  To use the Quran as a Book of magic.

-  Hadith stories about punishments in the grave.

-  Fasting on behalf of a dead person.

-  Performing Hajj on behalf of a dead person.

-  Making future predictions of the Day of Judgment, or any future predictions.

-  The return of Jesus, son of Mary.

-  The return of Mahdi.

-  Racism by considering Arabs to be superior religiously and ethically.

-  Disallowing women to lead prayers even at home or in female congregations.

-  The belief that passing of wind invalidates one's ablution (wudu).

-  Ascribing martyrdom to people at random.

-  Not considering obligatory to respect the rights of non-Muslims.

-  To reject the Quraanic truth that there is no compulsion in religion.

-  Killing of apostates.

-  Compelling people to pray and fast.

-  To name Islam by the titles of sects and madhabs.

Very comprehensive list indeed.  Many thanks sister Rose.   It's a very, very useful reminder to prevent us from deviating from the Noble Quran.

Walaikum Salam.  No sister Sara, it is not mentioned in the Quran.  The authorisation for the stoning ritual of shaitan in Hajj is only found in the books of hadith and nowhere else.   Again, the most important thing is our niyyat or intention.  If we love Allah and His Messenger and develop an interest to read & understand the Noble Quran, we will automatically hate shaitan and reject his temptations which is exactly what Allah wants us to do.  There are lot of people who stone the pillars of shaitan during Hajj, but they don't give up following shaitan and continue to do wrong deeds which Allah has forbidden.  Thus, their act of stoning the devil is nothing different than hypocrisy.

As a devoted Quran follower, I would say that true Islam is derived only from the Noble Quran and not from the traditions & cultures of people.

You will also find that according to Sunnah traditions which is based purely on the Hadith, the stoning ritual has been made very time consuming.  Referring to the source Quran.org., which agrees that this ritual is not Quranic, I am quoting the opinion of that site which mentions the Sunnah details of this un-Quranic ritual and how much of our time and attention it takes up.

Quoting Quran.org:
"The following are the steps of stoning (according to "Sunnah") and as performed by Muslims going for Hajj every year.

1- On the 10th day of Zhu Al-Hijjah the pilgrim departs from Muzdalifah, the pebbles are collected from there or on the road to Mina.

2- The pebbles should be the size of a pea.  The pilgrims are allowed to pick up the pebbles at any place on the return from Muzdalifah, except in the valley of Muhassir.

3- Additionally, only 7 pebbles are permitted to be picked up on the 10th day, this is accordance to Sunnah.

4- After arrival at Mina on the 10th day, the pebbles are thrown.  According to Hadith, the pebbles should not be thrown before sunrise on the 10th day.

5- The pilgrims throw 7 pebbles at the Jamrat Al-Aqabah.

6- The pilgrims return to Mina once again to resume the stoning, where they spend the nights of the 11th and 12th there.

The stoning On the 11th , 12th and 13th day is done after the sun has passed the meridian (according to Hadith it is not permissible to stone before noon on these two days).

7- In accordance with Sunnah (i.e. Hadith), the pilgrims are told to throw the pebbles in a specific order. First, the pilgrim throws 7 pebbles at Jamrat Al-Sughra (the small Jamrah) which is farthest from the Kaa'ba, then 7 at the jamrat Al-Wusta (the middle jamrah), and then 7 at Jamrat Al-Aqabah (the large jamrah).

8- Those who are in a hurry miss out on the 13th day. Thus the stoning starts on the 10th day and ends on the 12th or 13th day of the month.

But if the pilgrim wishes to prolong his stay (which is advised in Hadith), he/she can spend the night of the 13th in Mina and stone that afternoon as well in the same manner as on the twelfth day.

9- Although some have the comfort of a car or bus, the majority travel the trips on foot.

These are the steps of the stoning rituals according to Sunna. These can be verified with any site that details the Hajj rituals.

From this detailed step by step of the stoning, note two prime matters:

The stoning ritual is not a minor detail. It consumes 2-3 or even upto 4 days of the Hajj, it involves numerous travel and is the longest time consuming ritual of Hajj

If you note that the only command and purpose of the whole Hajj is to commemorate Allah Almighty alone (please to Quraanic Verses - 2:198, 2:203, 2:200, 22:27-28), it becomes apparent how shaitan has tricked millions of people into consuming a large chunk of their Hajj time (3-4 days) by collecting and throwing stones at imaginary posts, while being pre-occupied with shaitan."

Unquoting:

Additionally, for more useful information, also please refer to our post titled: "Ritual of stoning the devil during Hajj."

Wa'salaam Sara.  u r right sister, this ritual is not mentioned in Surah Baqrah or any other Surahs.  And u have also mentioned a valid point that when people throw stones on the pillar, satan might not be there, instead he might be next to them.  Indeed, if we knew for sure that satan is standing next to us, we would hit him with our shoes and stones and sticks.  But because satan is a jinn and made of fire, so we humans cannot see him.  Only Allah can see him and only Allah is able to trace his track and know where he is.  Because satan is invisible to humans, Allah (Subhana wa'Taala) also tells humans in Surah Al-Araf Verse 27 to be careful of satan's temptations because he can see humans but humans cannot see him.

"O Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you as he caused your (first) parents to go forth from the Garden and tore off from them their robe (of innocence) that he might manifest their shame to them. Lo! he seeth you, he and his tribe, from whence ye see him not. Lo! We have made the devils protecting friends for those who believe not."  (7:27) Surah Al-Araf

Very well explained sister Rose.

If a person's iman in Allah is strong, then shaitan does not come close to that person because he knows he won't win.  shaitan only tries to tempt those people whose iman is weak.

If a believer ever feels upset or gets the feeling that shaitan is trying to bother him or her, they should recite or read the Quran - the original not translations.  The sound of the original Quran frightens shaitan and he stays away.  This is a confirmed fact which Allah has stated in the Quran that shaitan is unable to come in between when a believer is reciting the Quran.
