Islam - perfect and complete, in the words of Allah (Surah Al-Maidah)

Reflections on the Glorious Quraan

Verse 5:3 (Al-Maidah) is one of the last verses revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) during the last pilgrimage (known as the Farewell Pilgrimage), most probably just a few weeks before the Prophet (pbuh) passed away. 

The following verse can be called the summary of all the details that elucidate Islam as perfect and complete.  It's one of those very important and beautiful verses which people love to memorize and recite whenever they get the time, several times throughout each  day. 

"Al-Yawma Akmaltu Lakum Deenakum Waatmamtu
Alaykum Niaamati Waradeetu
Lakumu Al-Islama Deenan"  (5:3)

Translation:

"This day have I perfected your religion for you and
completed My favor unto you, and have chosen
for you as religion Al-Islam"


This is confirms that the Noble Quran is a Standalone Book, it's perfected and there is nothing omitted in it.  It confirms that the Noble Quran is an independent Book and does NOT need any human writings for its completion.
