Many people have asked what exactly this no.19 hoax is which Khalifah and his cronies keep blabbing about.
It's basically the same "statistical miracles"  as many traditionalists have also observed and publicised, but without the violations as perpetrated by Rashid Khalifah.

In the minimal of words, it's shameful on Khalifah's part for devising this little trick to dupe people only to satisfy his burning desire of becoming a spiritual demagogue.  The so-called 'code 19' is a blatantly foolish and sinful theatric, designed to look like the work of a genius.

To begin with, let's make one thing very clear.  Mathematical aspects of the Quraan have NO bearing on spiritual & practical ethics.  The Almighty Allah does NOT link any such discoveries of "statistical or mathemataical miracles" of the Quraan to piety, wisdom or good conduct.  That goes without saying.

Dr. Tariq Swaidan has also discovered many mathematical miracles of the Quran.  But so what?  Does that mean Dr. Swaidan should start claiming to be a messenger or prophet?  Khalifah's mathematical findings are very similar to those of Dr. Swaidan, except that Dr. Swaidan puts his discoveries humbly on the table for the purpose of praising Allah and His Book, while Khalifah uses his findings for praising himself, and for proving himself to be a confirmed quack by declaring himself an apostate and a false messenger.  Dr. Swaidan's statistical miracles can be checked at the above link.  And just to give an idea to our readers who might wonder what Khalifah's mathemataical issues are .. Khalifah stated similar matters e.g. total number of verses in the Quran, the total number of chapters in the Quran, the total number of times the word 'Allah' is mentioned in the Quraan and the total number of times the word 'Quraan' is mentioned are multiples of 19.  Khalifah, with his approach of an ambitious cheat, exposed these findings as his own miracles instead of the miracles of Allah Almighty.  Then, combining this attitude with his shockingly incorrect translations and misinterpretations of the Quraan, Khalifah declared himself a false messenger and a total disbeliever (kaafir).

Khalifah's most appaling misinterpretation of the Quraan which he has stealthly used for fortifying his lie of the "code 19" theory is his intentional distortion of Verse 74:30.  In this Verse Allah states: "Above it are nineteen."  Only Allah knows the correct meanings of all the Verses of the Glorious Quraan including Verse 74:30 but what we know for sure are Khalifah's deceitful misinterpretations.  In Verse 74:30 the term "nineteen"  evidently indicates the wardens of Hellfire.  In the following Verse 74:31 Allah says:  "We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the Fire, and their number have We made to be a stumbling-block for those who disbelieve;"   Thus, no one except Allah knows the actual number of angels who are the wardens of Hellfire.  That's why in Verse 74:30 Allah gives only one of the numbers for the wardens of Hellfire i.e. 19 but there are more as is obvious from Verse 74:31.   It is for this reason that Verse 74:30 stops so abruptly without giving any further details or numbers because Allah has mentioned in Verse 74:31 that the exact number of angels who are the wardens of Hellfire will be a "stumbling block."  This will only be known to Allah alone.

Also, Allah says that He has made this number a "stumbling-block for those who disbelieve."  This would imply that it is an obstacle to further confound disbelievers who have proven unworthy of Allah's guidance.  Rashid Khalifah was evidently a clear example of this.  His incorrect reading of Verse 74:30 (and many other verses) along with his desire to become a religious demagogue confounded him totally and threw him off the path of righteousness like a discus!

And, for a detailed and complete of clarification of Khalifah's intentional misinterpretation of Verse 33:40, read very carefully the entire thread titled Every Prophet is also a Messenger.

I know this is an old post. However, I am going to say something that has been on my mind about this person and his findings for such a long time. I have learned to keep a bit quiet because of all the hipe I take for speaking my opinions on Islamic issues.

Anyway, that said. Was this man not murdered for his findings?  And I wonder why?  What did he do that deseerved the death sentence?

You did debate with him persian-thinker and would that have not been enough? You have proven a point. And the human being has a brain to think about  this mans findings for himself.  Everyone has a right to an opinion. Everyone.

I just think there are a lot of murders that are not necessary.
Especially among the muslims from middle east.

Allah subahannah is certainly capable of mathematical system of Quran. And as a matter of fact there probably is. And for sure, we mere humans cannot understand it.

Still, there was no reason to kill him. Not one. He was a muslim. And it is a big sin to kill a muslim.

Sister Patricia, please do not misunderstand and misinterpret us.  Persian Thinker is not debating anyone.  He is simply mentioning his views on Khalifah's "No.19" story.  No one here condones anyone's murder.  But this site does not support Rashid Khalifah (as already stated in our forum rules) because he rejected Prophet Muhammad (S) as the final messenger and instead claimed himself to be the final one.  That's a gross violation of the Quran.  Whatever bit of somewhat correct explanations he might have come up with concerning other topics have gotten washed away because of his apostasy and all the manipulations that accompanied it, and I repeat, we do not support him here.  Regarding his murder, it's upto Allah Almighty to judge the matter and decide.  Moreover, we are only interested in understanding the Glorious Quran and implementing it in our lives.  We are not interested in its mathematical miralces.  The truth of all that is known to Allah alone.

I would like to close this matter here.
