A perfect reminder - please read

I got this on email from Islamic Tube website.  I liked the words very much.  It's a very truthful reminder.  I pray and hope people utilize this suggestion to their benefit, InshAllah.


" What Is Your Ultimate Goal as a Muslim? 

To dedicate devotion to Allah alone, with complete sincerity and to strive to attain the true following of the Prophet (S).  Were you to strive to this end and travel this path, you must expect to live amongst people as a stranger because most of them have become lost from the true path. It is inevitable for the people of truth to feel estranged in the midst of people of falsehood like the enstrangement of light in complete darkness.

People of this life compete for money and influence, fame and power. They consider this world their only abode, and the end of their journey. It is their sole objective, which they strive hard to attain. As for the people of the hereafter, they are strangers in this life.

“For Al Mitaqun (The Pious), there are Gardens with their Lord, underneth which rivers flow. Therein (is there) eternal home…” [Surah Al-Imran, 15]

Thus, the Prophet (S) said:

“Be in this life as though you were a stranger, or a wayfarer”

The heart of a stranger or wayfarer can hardly pay attention to anything, other than his home, and final destination as Allah says in Verse 3:15 as quoted above.

May Allah Guide all those who work hard with glad tidings of Jannah.  Ameen.

Indeed I would consider this as the most soothing reminder.  Unfortunately, when people are young, struggling to make a career and provide for growing children etc. they tend to forget this truth and often get involved in issues that might seem very important at that point.  But whether or not they successfully handle their lives in such challenging times, all times - easy or tough - pass off, eventually bringing all of us back to a stage when we can do little more but wait for our turn to go to the next world, the permanent world.  Thus Allah makes it plain in His Great Book that to remain steadfast with an unshakable faith in Him in good and difficult times alike is one of the greatest signs of a worthy human being.  And such worthy people surely know that whatever they face here is temporary.  It's this concept pertaining to the most significant reality that has always been a tremendous source of courage for the wise and perceptive ones.

Great reminder.  My husband and I are really trying to accept this tremendous ideology of the Noble Quran as the foundation of our lives, and also trying to train our kids accordingly.  It can be such a vast source of peace of mind & heart.
