RED TIDE is a natural global phenomenon caused by agal bloom. Agal bloom plant-like organisms that can form dense, visible patches near the water's surface. The algal bloom may also deplete oxygen in the waters and/or release toxins that may cause illness in humans and other animals. Major factors influencing red tide events include warm ocean surface temperatures, low salinity, high nutrient content, calm seas, and rain followed by sunny days during the summer months. In addition, algae related to red tide can spread or be carried long distances by winds, currents, storms, or ships. Since the 1980s harmful red tide events have become more frequent and widespread. Red tide algae make potent natural toxins. It is unknown why these toxins are created, but some can be hazardous to larger organisms. Grazers such as fish are unaffected by the toxins but can be poisonous for organisms that feed on them. A lot of diseases and deaths in humans and animals have been reported due to consumption of shellfish during red tide algal blooms.

FIRE RAINBOW is the rarest of all atmospheric phenomena. Most people will say that they have never seen it in their lives. It looks very uniquely beautiful. As
Snopes puts it, for it to happen the clouds must be
cirrus clouds, be at least 20 thousand km in the air, ice crystal must be present- and here is the kicker- the sun must hit at a 58 degree angle. The light of the sun has to pass through these high altitude clouds. Sunlight entering the crystals' vertical side faces and leaving through their bottom side faces is refracted and separated into an array of visible colors. The resulting display is a brilliant spectrum of colors seen below.
The photo above was taken at northern Idaho. It was captured on camera as it hung across the sky for several hundred square miles.

Don't know where this photo was taken but it looks fantastic with the airplane flying so close to it.
