It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

BismEm

The conscientious ones with unshakable Faith in The Almighty often wonder how to create awareness among others regarding the Day of Judgment.   Many unthinking minds that seldom reflect are of the opinion that they have heard much about the Last Day and waited long enough.  A lot of them get impatient while many deviate altogether.  Also, many who practice Faith as a ritual presume that the Day of Judgment is too far away, probably millions of years, and thus they needn't worry nor think much about it.

How to correct this very incorrect notion that has crept into the minds of the heedless?

The answer is simple for those who read and understand the contents of the Noble Quran.

Almighty Allah has asserted that the day and time of the Day of Judgment will remain undisclosed until it actually happens.  None of the Prophets were given any information about it either, except that it is certain to happen any time.  Its exact time, day, month and year are exclusively the concern of Allah only.

A genuine believer who trusts the word of Allah will never consider becoming slack simply because the Day of Judgment may seem far away.  Its undisclosed time will never be an excuse to trail behind, and surely it will NEVER be a reason for them to let their trust in Allah  weaken.  A believer accepts the promise of Allah without a shred of doubt.   Their focus during earthly existence is to influence and elevate their conduct and intentions with the strength of their Faith in HIM, by looking upon HIS Final Message as the Sole Criterion.

Everyone, and particularly laggards with weak or no iman, all of whom presume that the Last Day is far off, need to keep in mind the ultimate reality concerning their own death  -  the last day on earth of every individual.  Here is what it means:  As stated throughout the Noble Quran, the duration from the time of death till we are raised again on the Day of Judgment - whether it be a single day or a billion years or more - will seem to us like a day or two, or perhaps an hour or two.  After death time is naught; and time is no more required during death.

"And on the day when the Hour rises the guilty will vow that they did tarry but an hour - thus were they ever deceived."  (30:55)

"On the day when they see that which they are promised (it will seem to them) as though they had tarried but an hour of daylight."  (46:35)

"And on the day when He shall gather them together, (when it will seem) as though they had tarried but an hour of the day, recognizing one another, those will verily have perished who denied the meeting with Allah and were not guided."  (10:45)

"(Allah) will say, 'How long did you remain on earth, counting by years?'  They will say: We remained a day or part of a day;  ask of those who keep count."

On the Day of Judgment the guilty won't only be confused over how long they spent from death to resurrection but when Allah Almighty will ask them how long they remained in this temporary world, that too will seem to them like a day or part of a day.

Those of us who have undergone surgery have had an experience somewhat similar in this temporary world.  From the time you are wheeled into the operating room, anesthetized and until you regain full consciousness could be as long as three, four or five hours or more.  Yet when you awaken, you lose track of time altogether and it feels a very short while from the moment you were taken to the operating room and when you woke up.

Needless to say, the Day of the Decision is just as sure as death itself.  Working hard for that Day is to be done with the firm conviction of the FACT that practically as far as each one of us is concerned, the Last Day will occur hours or a couple of days after death.  And death is never too far.  It can happen to anyone, any where, any time.  It has happened to many already before our eyes.

No matter how arrogant, cynical, boastful or brash a lot of folks were in their temporary life on earth, on the Day of Judgement when they stand before THE ALMIGHTY and when He calls them, their arrogance and pride will fizzle out like they never existed and they will respond to Him by exalting Him. And this day will feel just a few days or a few hours after the final journey .. so it's really very close.

May Allah (The Most High) grant the best of guidance to those who seek it.  Ameen.

Mash'Allah, sister.  All your writings teach us matters that are so relevant.  This is a very educative piece.  Yes, very rightly concluded.  Practically, as far as every individual is concerned, the Day of Judgment is just a few hours or less than few days after death.  It only shows how little time we have and how much of it we waste in works that carry little value outside the sphere of this world.  Not to mention, that little time is also very uncertain, it can be even less than what we presume.

May Allah reward you to the fullest for your recognition of the Truth and your desire to inform others, my sister.  Ameen.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments sister Ruhi.  True this life is short and tough.  From the practical view point, the Day of Judgement comes soon after earthly life ends.  And all we need to do is to make our best effort in earthly life to get a good report from Him on the Day of Judgment.  Even if we don't achieve our goal, we need to try our very best.  After all, intention is just as important as the deed itself.

May Allah help those who love Him.  Ameen.

That's another dynamic piece you've written sister Heba.  May God Almighty reward you in abundance for sharing the truth.  People need to know it.  A further clarification of this topic takes me to some verses of Surah Bani Israel.

"And they say: When we are bones and fragments, shall we forsooth, be raised up as a new creation ?   Say: Be you stones or iron Or some created thing that is yet greater in your thoughts! Then they will say: Who shall bring us back (to life). Say: He Who created you at the first. Then will they shake their heads at you, and say: When will it be ? Say: It will perhaps be soon;  A day when He will call you and you will answer with His praise, and you will think that you have tarried but a little while."  17:49-52  Surah Bani Israel

Praise be to Allah, the Greatest.

MashAllah sister Heba, what a brilliant piece.  So important and logically true!   Each person's death and the Day of Reckoning will happen within a few hours or a few days.  That's the way Allah, The Greatest, has ordained it.  And all His arrangements are ever so perfect in every way.  However much we praise Him, it's never enough.  The most important prayer and wish for us it to acquire acceptance by Him on that Day.  I pray for strength within ourselves to make the efforts required for believers to find guidance.  And, may Allah consider our efforts appropriate by granting us the wisdom for acquiring His guidance, for only then can we make ourselves acceptable on that Day (recipients of Maghfirah).

Maghfirah on the Day of Judgment will undoubtedly be the most wonderful thing for every soul.  NO doubt about that.  But we must know that we have to work a little hard for it in this world by putting in our best effort.  And the first step towards the development of will-power necessary for shunning evil is strengthening our Faith in Him and shaping our conduct according to His rules.  Without Faith, a person's will-power remains unpredictable and can sway at any time.

Thank you so much for this work dear sister.  It cannot but deeply inspire every conscientious soul.

Praise be to Allah, The Highest.  May peace and blessings on beloved Mohammed, the final Messenger and Seal of the Prophets.  May peace and blessings be on all His former messengers as asserted by The Almighty in His Final and unchanged Message.

"And unto Allah belongs the Unseen of the heavens and the earth, and the matter of the Hour (of Doom) is but as a twinkling of the eye, or it is nearer still. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things."  (16:77)  Surah An-Nahl

Without a doubt, the Day of Judgment is not going to be a long wait.

Those who fear their Lord in secret and who dread the Hour (ofdoom).21:49
Who know that they will have to meet their Lord, and that unto Him they are returning.2:46

jazak Allah sis heba  may Allah reward u for true reminder .
u have clearly conveyed the whole message beautifully mashallah !  so true remembering death is important rather than waiting for death or day of judgement.  Reminders of death increase the religiosity of believers being aware of the value of time when the person keeps death in his/her mind in addition to his/her ignorance of the time and place where death will overtake.  This becomes a strong motive to seek a good end and die in a state of obedience to Allah so such a person would fill their time with good deeds.  Before it is too late, everyone is called to reflect on their way of life, about the purpose of existence and the end. Certainly to Allah will be the return. He made His Message clear and said:

And whoso desires the Hereafter and strives for it with the effort necessary, being a believer; for such, their effort finds favour (with their Lord).17:19

But Allah reprieves no soul when its term comes, and Allah is Informed of what you do.  63:11

Lo! Allah hath bought from the believers their lives and their wealth because the Garden will be theirs: they shall fight in the way of Allah and shall slay and be slain. It is a promise which is binding on Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. Who fulfilleth His covenant better than Allah? Rejoice then in your bargain that ye have made, for that is the supreme triumph.9:111

Sisters Zeynab, Muslima, I so much appreciate your input.

Ignorance, materialism and skepticism have become so widespread in the world that most people, even many "Muslims," take it as a joke if you mention to them about the Day of Judgment.  They hardly understand how much precious time they are wasting, because once the soul passes out of the body, the time for amendments is over.

And thank you so much for quoting those wonderful Verses, dear sisters.

In our zoom get-togethers yesterday I read and talked on the contents of this post, starting from the principle post.  Many of our sisters and brothers, though Muslims on paper, weren't just taking the Day of Judgment seriously for precisely one reason, thinking  ... "oh, it's too far away"  .. assuming after death they'll sleep peacefully for millions or billions of years and then The Almighty might decide to overlook their violations and send them to Jannah.  No folks!  Never acquire such absurd ideas.   Divine Justice is flawless.  HE never forgets nor does HE err.

"My Rab neither errs nor forgets,"  20:52 Ta Ha

Just as the good efforts of HIS obedient slaves will never be overlooked for reward regardless of the time of the Day of the Tryst, the transgressions of HIS careless and selfish slaves will also never be overlooked for retribution.   Without a doubt, earthly death and Day of Decision are only a very short time apart .. just hours or a day or part of a day.

I'm glad you took up this topic.   Apathy over it is ever so common.   I hope it awoke at least a few of those heedless ones.

Yeah Sis.   Though something that must be taken for granted, for a lot of them it was like a new topic.  And then the moderator also spoke about this thread at length.  So yes, for several of them, it was a wake up call.  Some others sat silently and somewhat unresponsively.  Their extent of vigilance is known to Allah alone.  The idlers only hurt their own souls and Allah is sufficient to deal with them.
