Thanks AceOH .. my prayers r the same for u.

I wonder how many of us observed Eid-al-Adha on Saturday and how many on Sunday.  Just makes me think, will there ever be a single Eid before the Day of Judgment which carries a consensus and is celebrated on the same day throughout the Ummah?  I've yet to understand this confusion over citing of the moon.  Our earth has just one moon, right?  so if it's been cited in, for instance, Turkey or Iran or Saudi Arabia or wherever .. it obviously means that the first crescent is out.  Yet, we Muslims refuse to be unanimous.  Another example showing how divided we are .. because each group follows their community imam rather than the truth.

And yes, pilgrims r now returning home.  I pray they utilize this once-in-a-lifetime experience to influence their faith and conduct positively in future, InshAllah.

I got a message from a friend the other day that it was the first Hajj after a long time that ended without a stampede.  That's great news too!

Peace,

It is good news indeed. Alhamdulillah.

There is no single authority for all Muslims to go by. Just a thought: a time where the verse 4:49 in the Qur'an is truly applicable: "Obey Allah and obey His Messenger and those entruster/in authority among you" - away from the Sunni twists.
