 BismEm

We have all heard the term "Hizb'Allah" often.  It's the name given to the brave party of Sheikh Hassan Nasrullah, leader of the Hizb'Allah Party in Lebanon.  But few people probably know that the Arabic term Hizb'Allah carries the most beautiful meaning.  "Hizb" means 'party' in Arabic.  And "Hizb'Allah" signifies 'Party of Allah.'  This term is also mentioned in the Noble Quraan in Verse 58:22 of Surah Al-Mujadilah, referring to the pious believers.  Sincere believers, in the Sight of Allah, belong to the Party of Allah.   Those of us who are fortunate enough to be chosen by Allah as belonging to His Party are indeed the luckiest.  It's the loveliest compliment anyone can ever get.

Similarly, Verse 58:19 of the same Surah discusses disbelievers who never think of Allah as belonging to the opposite party - that is, the devil's party or 'hizb-ul-shayateen.'

May Allah (The Highest) grant us maximum guidance and choose as the members of Hizb'Allah.  Ameen.   And may Allah (The Highest) grant all believers refuge in Him from the devil's party.

The following two verses of the Glorious Quraan differentiate between the Party of Allah (Hizb'Allah), and the devil's party (Hizb-ul-shayateen)

(58:22)   Surah Al-Mujadilah

English translation of Verse 58:22
"Thou wilt not find folk who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His messenger, even though they be their fathers or their sons or their brethren or their clan. As for such, He hath written faith upon their hearts and hath strengthened them with a Spirit from Him, and He will bring them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide. Allah is well pleased with them, and they are well pleased with Him. They are Allah's party. Lo! is it not Allah's party who are the successful ?"

(58:19) Surah Al-Mujadilah

English translation of Verse 58:19
"The devil hath engrossed them and so hath caused them to forget remembrance of Allah. They are the devil's party. Lo! is it not the devil's party who will be the losers ?"
