Only problem of having racoons running around the yard at night is that garbage cans kept outside get turned upside down.  They're always looking for free dinners

Yeah you're right, Sis Heb.  Garbage cans are their center of attraction.

Once a couple of them hopped inside my husband's cousin's house in summer time when basement window was half open.  Came in thru there and made themselves at home, searching the kitchen for food   


Squirrels are wonderful.  This one looks a bit thin though .. north american squirrels are usually overweight

LOL    they must have got the shock of their lives.  i really feel bad when i see them on the roadsides run down by motorists.  raccoons have a poor road sense and they're rather slow while crossing the roads.  they mostly cross roads at night when traffic is much less, but scant traffic also gets much faster at night so they get hit by night drivers.  i've seen quite a few such incidents.  that's very unfortunate.
