Here's another lying hadith, false as ever, yet floating around as "sahih."

Narrated Ibn Abi Aufa:
We were in the company of Allah's Apostle on a journey. He said to a man, "Get down and mix Sawiq (powdered barley) with water for me." The man said, "The sun (has not set yet), O Allah's Apostle." The Prophet again said to him, "Get down and mix Sawiq with water for me." The man again said, "O Allah's Apostle! The sun!" The Prophet said to him (for the third time) "Get down and mix Sawiq with water for me." The man dismounted and mixed Sawiq with water for him. The Prophet drank it and then beckoned with his hand (towards the East) and said, "When you see the night falling from this side, then a fasting person should break his fast." (Sahih Bukhari 3:31:162)

I don't know if this lie has been penned by Bukhari or some other imam later on who infiltrated his writing into the Bukhari collection.  Whichever though, this was a sick joke.  These people are trying to make it look (for the benefit of their own selfish purposes) that the Prophet (pbuh) found nothing wrong breaking his fast before sunset when the Quran says not to break our fast until it gets dark (until 'leil').  And yet, no one in this Ummah seems to complain over such nasty gossips of the imams.  How fast they are losing the fear of Allah from their hearts!

Forget about complaining.  Even if some sincere and rational person wakes them up by pointing the flaws, the Ummah will argue that the ridiculous flaw is "right."  That's how deep the slumber is.   This is another such a terrible hadith.   Taubah!

Most likely both.  between the hadith narrators and compilers, it's a tough pick to confirm who were bigger liars and closer to the Shaitaan.  Both were competing neck and neck.

As-salam Alaykum all.  Listen to this one.  We had our monthly discussion meeting last Friday.  A sister who attends our discussions and is also one of the few Quran-alone followers like a few of us, brought up this hadith for analysis.  She was just as baffled as all of us were when we read it.  Then, a few hadithists (who are unfortunately more than we Quran-aloners in our group) jumped in, as usual with their moronic so-called interpretations, and the usual hype to make hadith look like the work of intellects.  They began saying, "o you don't know.  Every hadith has an inside story and the narration you read includes the details of that story."  So I asked, what is the inside story here?  The false hadith is very plain, the Prophet (pbuh) supposedly telling a man in a commanding tone to get him barley water before sunset and obviously much before nightfall.  One of the hadithists replied the inside story could be that the Prophet (pbuh) wasn't feeling well .. that he had a stomach ache or maybe a toothache or felt nauseous etc.  I simply told him I was sorry and couldn't accept such unsupportive guesswork and presumptions.  Carefully focus on the hadith.  The man reminded twice or thrice that the sun had not yet set.  If the Prophet (pbuh) was unwell and needed to discontinue his fast, wouldn't he have told the man even before his reminder that he (Prophet) wasn't well and needed to break his fast?  Of course he would.  Not mentioning that so-called "inside story" and insisting to break one's fast before dark only insinuates the idea of introducing a practice which is not allowed.  In this case it insinuates the encouragement of not following carefully the method of fasting as instructed in the Noble Quran.

These loose-cannons sound lame as always.  They really need to act their age, not their shoe size.  Such an argument is yet another example of not only lying against the Prophet (pbuh) but also defaming him by alluding that he never explained the reasons for his out of the ordinary deeds, as if the Prophet (pbuh) didn't care if his actions appeared to violate the Quran and thus mislead people through his deeds.  If the Prophet (pbuh) was unwell while fasting and felt he needed to discontinue his fast, he would MOST DEFINITELY first and foremost mention the problem.  NO question of ordering the companion to bring barley water without clarifying the reason, otherwise there would be a risk that the companion might presume it's okay to break the fast while the sun is still shinning and convey the same to the community.

The  asinine talk of these hadithers is not worth the time it utilizes.  Please send them the link of our "Analyzing specific hadith narrations" board and ask those buggers where is the damn inside scoop or the backstory for every hadith they claim?  Reading a hadith is enough pain in the ass.  Additionally, if  hadithers' attempt to make a song & dance about it and expect the  readers to presume and construct a backdrop for every senseless hadith, that's stretching the madness a bit too far.

lol well put sister Heba and br. TS.  I have also been told by several hadithers the same thing .. that every hadith has a "background story."  But when I ask them that why does every hadith leave us to guess what that 'background story' is, the hadithers never reply straight.  Whenever they have no answers, the commonest reaction in a reasonably civil discussion is switching over to praise Bukhari, how "devout" he was, how hard he worked for the betterment of Muslims and how far & wide he traveled to compile the "authentic sayings" of the Prophet (pbuh).  In worst case scenario, they go wild and accuse you of being a "deviant."   I tell these folks, I don't care for Bukhari's biography which by the way also differs from biographer to biographer.  I'm only concerned with the contents of his work which he has presented.  If the bulk of that is unacceptable, all those qaseedas in praise of him don't concern me at all.

Exactly Sister Zeynab.  And many thanks Sister Heba.  Both of you have put forth totally valid points based on common sense, but it's the conditioning of minds of these people that obstructs their common sense and keeps them on ignorant-mode.

A lot of credit is also given to Bukhari over the issue that he compiled 45,000 ahadith but retained only 6,000 ..... so that's supposed to make him "very honest."

Yes, this is another point the idiots raise again and again .. and it's one of the points that doesn't answer any of the questions you ask them.   99% of the 6,000 which he retained are so obnoxious that they can drive one to depression.  So I ask our hadither friends, on what basis did their "very honest" hero select those 6,000 narrations.  He supposedly selected 6,000 out of 45,000 alluding that 39,000 were unacceptable.  But they all came from the same sources and thus the 6,000 he retained were unacceptable enough (no wonder).  What was Bukhari's proof of their authenticity other than the suitability of those 6,000 for distorting Islam which he certainly welcomed?  He probably thought 6,000 were enough to ruin Faith and misguide the people as 45,000 would mean too much work in the field of mischief.

I couldn't agree more sister.  Bukhari traveled far and wide in search of "hadith" because he was on a mission to alter the ideology of the Noble Quran.  Anyone with just 2 brain cells can grasp that but these dimwits can't.   Bukhari couldn't dare touch the Quran directly, so he invented another channel which today they call "sunnah."  That is Bukhari's sunnah which the fools falsely attribute as the "Prophet's sunnah."  The Prophet's (pbuh) sunnah was ONLY the Quran.
