October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

Ameen, ameen, ameen ya RAB.

Whoever fails to acquire the acceptance of Allah, those folks have ruined their souls with their own hands.  How unfortunate!

Ya Allah, please save us from the doom.

Ameen, ameen.   May The Almighty grant us maximum guidance.

Speaking of Leilatul Qadr, and considering that a new day as per the Noble Quran begins at the crack of dawn (Fajr) when the slightest and earliest glimmer of light appears in the atmosphere, shouldn't the official observance of Leilatul Qadr start on the night of 27th Ramadan after Isha instead of night of 26th?  I mean, as our jurists practice at present, observance of the Night of Qadr starts soon after midnight of Ramadan 26, presuming that Ramadan 27th has begun because they are mixing up the clock calculation with the actual calculation of a new day starting from Fajr.   In reality, Ramadan 26 continues after midnight and ends at the start of Fajr which is Ramadan 27  .... and past midnight of Ramadan 27 is NOT Ramadan 28th, it's still Ramadan 27 until the start of Fajr.

Do you folks get my point?

I totally understand your point brother.  Correctly and logically, the new day of every month starts from the earliest moment of Fajr and ends at the following Fajr.   Therefore, 27 Ramadan begins from Fajr of 27.  After 12.00 p.m. (clock calculation) it's still 27th until the start of Fajr (dawn).  As you rightly said, our jurists are implementing the earthly clock calculation;  consequently, what they consider to be the start of Ramadan 27 is actually the continuation of late night 26.

Concerning Leilatul Qadr, the point is that observation of this Night on that particular calendar date is for the purpose of unanimity.  Since Allah Almighty has not disclosed the exact date of the Night of Qadr, we must put in additional prayers and Quran-reading on all 30 days of Ramadan and if we wish, we can pick a certain day of that month for the longest stretch of ibadah and dedicate it to the Night of Qadr.   So, even if the jurists are actually observing the Night of Qadr on the 26, it really doesn't matter from the perspective I mentioned.  But you perceived it spot on.  Past midnight of any day is not the start of a new day as per the Noble Quran.  Every new day starts at Fajr and Ramadan 27 starts from Fajr, not midnight.

Salams dear sisters and brothers.   Ramadan 27, 2019 as today ....... I hope all of you got enough time to stay up last night to pour your heart out before The Almighty.  We certainly did.   As the blessed month gradually draws to an end, May HE accept our fasts, salat and supplications throughout the month.  May HE also accept the one night we especially pick and dedicate to the Night of Qadr (the specific day when the contents of the Noble Book began coming to us).   Yes, we don't know exactly which night of Ramadan that is.  Only HE knows.

It feels a bit sad when this blessed months begins to end.  No matter how hard we work to earn HIS pleasure, it always feels we haven't done enough.  Nor can we be sure whether or not we will have the privilege to stay around and experience the blessed month again the following year to earn more blessings.

Brother TS, I do get your point.   My husband and I have also long thought of this aspect.  Our clerical authorities have mixed up the clock-rules of a.m. and p.m. with the real time during which the earth rotates and revolves, and it's this real time we need to focus on for deciding the start of a new day.

Subhan'Allah, yes sister.  Pouring our hearts out before Allah and talking to Him was truly elating for all of us too.  By the mercy of Allah, it was a great Night.  And indeed it's depressing when the blessed month comes to an end.

Ya Rab, Alhumdulilah and shokran for helping us to come so far and experience that many days of another blessed month.  The 26th night of the blessed month, that is, Leialtul Qadr or the day dedicated most to the worship of Allah The Almighty, The One and Only, is just two days away .... on Tuesday.  Am I right, brother and sisters?

Please make plenty of dua.  Dua is always a much needed thing for everyone.  But this year it's particularly needed more than previous years of our lifetime.  All ongoing sufferings and injustices around the world - wars, occupations, apartheid, corruption, arrogance etc. -  are added with the scourge of a terrible pandemic caused by human carelessness.

The Mercy of The Almighty is to be sought.   O Allah!  Bless us with a pure life and an easy death and a return to YOU without grief and difficulty.  Ameen ya Allah, ameen.

Ameen, ameen, ameen.    That's such a wonderful dua.

Yes dear sister, you're right.   It comes on Tuesday night.  And big thanks for putting it up for 2020, brother ts.

The scourge of the pandemic, as you rightly said, turned this into a very different Ramadan for all of us.  Our Quranic readings and study, our prayers and zikr, have been only within our immediate families.  No Iftar get-togethers which is always so exhilarating.  Indeed a very cruel pandemic that not only takes lives and keeps families apart, but also greatly exacerbates the existing suffering of those who were already unprivileged.

Only Allah can help.   Yes, please make lots of dua.

As we are right into search for the Night of Qadr, it maybe tonight - the 26th night of Ramadan followed by the 27th day of Ramadan - or tomorrow or any one of the days in this blessed month of Ramadan.  Allah knows best.  May HE accept our efforts as we strive at the moment and will always do so as long as we remain in this earthly world.  And we remain here temporarily.  We will all have to return to HIM, everyone at a time appointed by HIM.

Let us remind ourselves, the first Words from Allah Almighty that descended on the beloved Prophet (pbuh) were the first 5 Verses of the 96th Surah (Al-Alaq).

Please note what Allah says in those 5 Verses.

BismAllah Ar Rehman Ar Raheem

Read: In the name of your Rab Who created,
Created man from a clot.
Read: And your Rab is the Most Bounteous,
Who teaches by the pen,
Teaches man that which he knew not."

Surah Al-Alaq (96:1-5)

Alhumdulilah, SubhanAllah.    First of all, please know, the term "man" refers to entire humanity, all humankind, not just to the male gender.   Most importantly, The Almighty refers to education, research and discoveries in the very first Revelation He sent to this world via Angel Gibreel who brought it to the Final Messenger.  The term "pen" stands for knowledge.  Every bit of knowledge in all spheres of life acquired by humans are facts and information already designed and created by Allah Almighty long before their discovery by the people.  In other words, whatever awareness we acquire in the field of learning through our reflection, cognition, hardwork and experiments, are works planned and ordained by The Almighty much prior to their discovery by humankind.   Every bit of knowledge is an indication of the Works of Allah.  Therefor every shred and every slice of knowledge we extract through our study and research is praise to Allah.   Unfortunately, humans are only interested in grabbing the credit for themselves, mixing up creation of knowledge with the discovery of knowledge.  Please note, knowledge (that initiates with the "pen") is planned, created and perfected by Allah.  And if Allah wants humans to acquire that knowledge, then humans discover it through study and research.  Otherwise they cannot discover it.  Thus, there remains many facts and phenomena (comprising of knowledge) inside and outside this world which humans still don't know and may never know, unless He grants permission.  Only HE knows the complete expanse of knowledge because He designed, prepared and created every portion of all facts and figures.

Thus, knowledge and discoveries are meant to compliment Allah Almighty, and NOT to be viewed by humans as their own creation to challenge Allah, as much of humanity pathetically tends to do.

Yes Sister Ruhi, very busy at the moment with my Leialtul Qadr duties.

I must say I learned a lot from your piece on knowledge by quoting Surah Al-Alaq.    SubhanAllah.  All praise be to Allah, The Highest, The Greatest.

May HE accept our efforts and grant us maghfirah in the Hereafter.  Ameen ya Allah.
