Why do 'Muslims' purposely distort the Quran translations?

brother persian is right pickthall's translation is changed everywhere.And
Aisha Bewley's translation is also changed, her Tafsir al-Jalalayn same like others 

(78:33)and buxom maidens (kawā‘ib is the plural of kā‘ib) of equal age (atrāb is the plural of tirb),
 
 

Yes, true.  The recent publications of Pickthall's translations have been slightly changed.  For example, when I compare my copy of Pickthall's translation with the one we use online here, there are certainly a few changes in the translation I keep observing as I read.  Fortunately I have a very old copy, so I can always have recourse to the original translation which is a much more accurate translation of the original Arabic.

Btw, have you read Aisha Bewley's tafsir?

Salaam and thank you very much dear Sister Muslima.    The third post from the top written by Sister Heba contains a lot on the houri topic.  It's a very informative piece in which the entire history of the perverted minds of the medieval so-called imams have been traced which is the source of all such misguided misinterpretations and subsequently the followers of these imams (which includes many of the translators) have purposely mistranslated and twisted many verses of the Quran.

i use the same Pickthall's translation online u linked, original old version of Pickthall's translation is difficult to find 

No i didn't read her tafsir.i didn't know that before that women translated Quran so i have checked  her translation and its changed i want to know her understandings towards 78:33 .i browser the verse and i have found online link of that tafsir.

You are absolutely right sis.  It's a very sad situation.  Unfortunately the collection of bid'ah with all its corruption has become so widespread that it's impossible to reverse it.  We can only be thankful to Allah that He has granted us guidance and we are not walking on the same path as the mainstream.  Thank Allah, we will only have to answer for ourselves.
