It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

Satan is a jin.  Can his being a jin be taken a an isult or a derogatroy sign for the entire community of jinn?

Also, Satan was called to prostrate before Adam with the angels.  Is it known why he, a jinn, was called to follow this command with the angels?

Satan being a jin should not be an insult for the entire jinn community .. I certainly don't think so.  Jinn, like humans, can select their path of conduct, whether they want to be obedient to Allah or disobedient.  This obviously means that every jinn, like every human, is responsible for their own conduct, intentions and decisions.  No one bears the burden of others' sins nor can anyone get the credit for someone else's righteousness.  The Noble Quran clearly says that among the jinn there are good ones too who listen to the Quran.  Satan chose to be bad and disobedient.  Those jinn who are righteous and who recognize Satan as an enemy of Allah are not responsible for Satan's disobedience and sins.  And those jinn who get trapped in Satan's temptations and become sinful like him will be punished for their own wrong doings.  Therefore, Satan made himself an outcast on the basis of his own sins for which he will be punished severely.  But Satan's being a jin does not effect the entire jinn community, nor should the other jinn take it as an insult to be a jin, unless they follow him.

Why Satan was commanded to prostrate before Adam along with the angels is only known to Allah Almighty.  There might have been a reason for it which only Allah is aware of.  Just because we don't know the reason, doesn't mean that the reason does not exist.

"And (remember) when We said unto the angels: Fall prostrate before Adam, and they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He was of the jinn, so he rebelled against his Lord's command."  18:50

Since Satan was of the jinn and not angels, maybe he was tested by the command to prostrate before Adam, which of course he failed miserably.

However, the actual details in this regard can only be known to Allah alone which He has not disclosed to us, so we will have to leave it here.  The inquisitive ones construct stories.  But as true believers we can only trust the Word of Allah, and if He decides not to disclose any issue, we cannot proceed with it.

Thanks sis, this was a good reading.  Jinn are a separate species than humans, and probably an older species, I suppose .....

Yes, the Jinns are another creation of Allah, who were created from smokeless fire and apparently existed before the creation of Adam.  Since Allah (The Most High) has made it clear that the Quran is also a guide for the Jinn, that leads me to believe that Jinn are obligated to follow similar rules conduct as humans.  And, like humans, they are given the choice of doing good or evil, to believe in Allah and to obey His commandments. It is for this reason, both mankind and Jinns will be accounted for on the judgement day.

Surah Al-Jinn 72:1-15, gives a very vivid description of some jinn being righteous and some being unrighteous.  Verses 72:1-15 are quoted below.

1. Say (O Muhammad): It is revealed unto me that a company of the Jinn gave ear, and they said: Lo! it is a marvellous Qur'an,
2. Which guideth unto righteousness, so we believe in it and we ascribe unto our Lord no partner.
3. And (we believe) that He--exalted be the glory of our Lord!--hath taken neither wife nor son,
4. And that the foolish one among us used to speak concerning Allah an atrocious lie.
5. And lo! we had supposed that humankind and jinn would not speak a lie concerning Allah--
6. And indeed (O Muhammad) individuals of humankind used to invoke the protection of individuals of the jinn so that they increased them in revolt (against Allah);
7. And indeed they supposed, even as ye suppose, that Allah would not raise anyone (from the dead)
8. And (the Jinn who had listened to the Qur'an said): We had sought the heaven but had found it filled with strong warders and meteors.
9. And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listened now findeth a flame in wait for him;
10. And we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth guidance for them;
11. And among us there are righteous folk and among us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules.
12. And we know that we cannot escape from Allah in the earth, nor can we escape by flight.
13. And when we heard the guidance, we believed therein, and whoso believeth in his Lord, he feareth neither loss nor oppression.
14. And there are among us some who have surrendered (to Allah) and there are among us some who are unjust. And whoso hath surrendered to Allah, such have taken the right path purposefully.
15. And as for those who are unjust, they are firewood for hell.

O thanks for quoting these Quranic verses, brother.   Actually I was myself looking for them.  I recalled that the Quran mentioned about some jinn appreciating the Quran, but I couldn't remember where and to what extent.  Thanks again.   As-Salam Alaykum.

I quoted a portion of Verse 18:50 which says "And (remember) when We said unto the angels: Fall prostrate before Adam, and they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He was of the Jinn, so he rebelled against his Lord's command."
This same verse continues to say "Will ye choose him and his seed for your protecting friends instead of Me, when they are an enemy unto you? Calamitous is the exchange for evil doers!"     Some readers may think in this second part of Verse 18:50 the expression "his seed" (meaning seed of Satan) may refer to all jinn.  But no, I think it refers to those those jinn and humans who like Satan are disobedient to Allah Almighty.
