 BismEm

This is one of the tastiest snack you can make in the shortest possible time.  I wouldn't call it just a "snack."  It can be more elaborate than that.  My hubby and kids love it when put on the table with french fries and some boiled vegetables and a bowl of fresh chicken soup.  This would make a wonderful supper menu.  If you want to grab it for lunch, then just the grilled cheese toast and a cup a hot coffee would be ideal.

First the recipe and below it are the pics

Ingredients

2 Thick Bread Slices
Grated chedder cheese
1 Medium Sized Tomato (chopped finely)
Salt as per taste

Method

Preheat the grill on its highest setting.

In the meantime, spread margarine on the 2 slices of bread.  Place the bread slices on a baking tray for 3 to 4 minutes.  Remove from grill.  Keep on slice aside.  Sprinkle the grated cheese on the other slice, on the untoasted side.   Also sprinkle the finely chopped tomatoes.  Add salt & pepper to taste.  Then cover it with the other slice of bread, the untoasted side to be inside on the cheese & tomato filling.  Put the sandwich again into the heated grill until it turns golden brown and cheese melts.  Should take another 3-5 minutes.

P.S.

-  Instead of chopped tomatoes, you can also used thinly sliced tomatoes.  But I prefer it chopped.

-  You can also keep the slices separate instead of sandwiching them.

-  Some people might also like to use margarine on the bread slices.  You can if you want.

Yummy sis!  this looks fantastic.  you put it at the right time.  During Ramadan, quick recipes are just the thing I'm looking for.  I think I'll use a little margarine on the sandwiched side.  I've made cheese toast a few times without margarine.  It turned out good but only a bit dry.  I'm sure a little margarine would make it perfect.
