It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

 BismEm

"And (the tribes of) A'ad and Thamud, and the dwellers in Ar-Rass, and many generations in between."  (25:38)

I'm trying to figure out the geographical location of this place or town, Ar-Rass.  Any help would be welcomed.

I think it's a town in present-day Jordan, probably the old name for al-Aqabah but not too sure.

No sister, Ar Rass isn't in the Jordan region.  Ar Rass is a town that still exists in the heart of the Hejaz region or the Arabian peninsula known as the Al-Qasim province at present.  The rocky plateau of Najd is also located in this area.  To the east of Najd plateau lies the ancient district of Yamama and the plains of Aqraba.  Ar Rass is situated somewhere here, very close to Yamama and plains of Aqaba.  The famour Battle of Yamama was fought here by the Muslim army sent by Caliph Abu Bakr to crush the rebellion by the apostate Musailima the Liar (which was his official title) who declared himself a false prophet.  The Muslims were victorious in this battle under the leadership of Khalid bin Walid, and it was the final decisive battle of the Ridda wars.

I can understand why sister Rose got a bit confused.  First of all, Aqaba and Aqraba (plains of Aqraba) sound similar.  Secondly, Aqraba is also the name of a small town close to Nablus in Palestine, West Bank.  However, the plains of Aqraba is on a different location.  It's in the center of Arabia (today's Saudi Arabia) close to the Najd plateau and around Yamama & Ar Rass.  The name 'Plains of Aqraba' is always associated with the battle of Yamama because a major part of this battle was fought in the plains of Aqraba. Both Yamama and Ar Rass are very ancient names and ancient locations with plenty of history.  But since the ignorant Saudi govt. has now destroyed all historical landmarks throughout the country, I'm sure it's done the same in this region as well.

aw!  I was way wrong.  sorry sister CAt.  and JazekAllah Khair and many thanks brother PT.  Your post was very informative for me.  I had no idea that Aqraba was the name of a region in the heart of present Saudi Arabia nor did i know that it was a town near Nablus.   I guess u r right.  I must have somewhere misread "Aqraba" for "Aqaba" and thus presumed that it was in Jordan.  Thanks again for correcting me, brother.

thanks in plenty br. pt.  no problem sister.  names of places can make us confused about their locations.  Thanks again for the detailed account with its historical significance.  the battle of Yamama is a very famous and important event.  I'm glad to learn of its geographical connection with Ar-Rass.
