It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

Many early non-Arab Muslims who were new converts to Islam, felt more comfortable with pre-Islamic laws.  They used their conversion to discreetly shake the trust of Arab Muslims in the Quran.  They introduced a horribly improper concept that Islamic Faith was not just within the Quran but also outside of it. They managed to make this concept acceptable by taking advantage of the peoples' love for the late Prophet Muhammad (S) and convincing them that Ahadith were the 'sayings' of the Prophet.  Thus, began the system of "Ahadith" based on sheer deceit, placing the Ahadith books at par with the Quran.  It was a terribly wicked game to play!  After establishing the Ahadith, they began propagating false stories through Hadith narrations on the compilation of the Quran.

But from the impeccable perfection, beauty and firm logic of the Quranic contents and the confirmation of Allah Almighty, it's easy for us to catch the guile of the Hadith distortions.  By the Grace of Allah, we are able to hold firm and know without a doubt that the Noble Quran is the original and unaltered Word of Allah.  From start to finish as we see it today, it's exactly the same as revealed to the Prophet (S).  Any person who nurtures the slightest of doubt on this matter, loses his Faith and falls outside the circle of a believer who has submitted to Allah.

There are various Hadith narrations that have tried to falsify and slander the smooth and uncomplicated process of compilation of the Noble Quran by the Prophet (S) and his immediate successors.  The sole purpose of this slander by Hadith compilers was rivalry against the Quran and their desire to make the compilation of the Quran appear as controversial as that of the Hadith.  Needless to say, for any number of reasons, the comparison of the careful compilation of the Divine Quran with that of the disorganized & haphazard man-written Hadith doesn't even hold.

Altogether there are almost 20 versions of Hadith with thoroughly absurd and contradictory stories on the compilation of the Quran.  These tales make a nasty bundle of garbage and have become convenient ammunition at the hands of various orientalists interested in attacking the Noble Quran.   There is a book titled "Kitab al Masahif" written by Abdullah Ibn Abi Dawud where all of these Hadith fables on compilation of the Quran are collected.  The Hadith followers blindly and naively refer to this unworthy book to study about the compilation of the Quran.  I do noy have the time to put all those Hadith stories here, but if you want to glance through them, please check the blog article Hadith conspiracy against Quranic Text and scroll down to Contradictory and fictitious traditions about the subject.  Start reading the contradictory tales from here.

Now let us discuss some points for further evidence that helped to keep the Quran intact.

The Quranic revelations were written on paper

The common view is that before being compiled, the Quranic revelations were written and preserved on leather fragments, stone tablets or leaves of green plants.  But a careful reading of the Quran is not in conformity with this idea.  Rather, the revelations were written on paper as was available in that era.

"By the Mount,
And a Scripture inscribed
On fine parchment unrolled,
And the House frequented,
And the roof exalted,
And the sea kept filled,
Lo! the doom of thy Lord will surely come to pass;"(52:1-7)

"Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment,
So let whosoever will pay heed to it,
On honoured leaves
Exalted, purified,
(Set down) by scribes
Noble and righteous.
Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful!"
(80:11-17)

"Parchment" is a kind of paper resembling sheepskin which can be rolled.   Check the picture.

Parchment paper

The word "leaves" (singular 'leaf') has three different meanings, two nouns and a verb.
(1) Green leaves of plants.
(2) A sheet or page of any written or printed material [especially in a manuscript or book].
(3) to  flick through or look through a book or any other written material e.g. 'he leafed through the book.'

The first two definitions of 'leaf' are nouns and the third one is a verb.

In Verse 80:13 the term "leaves" very obviously refer to sheets of paper or parchment on which the revelations of the Noble Quran were written.   Leaves of a manuscript can include palm leaves and similar other plant leaves, but they are processed & refined before being used for writing.  The photos below show how manuscript leaves used for writing looked in medieval times.  Some were in a set of pages while others were fragmented.  But they were clearly a particular quality of paper or parchment.

Was the Quran compiled with the coming of each revelation?

Some readers are of the opinion that the Quran was compiled upon each revelation because of the general emphasis of Quranic principles supporting the practice that all important matters must be written e.g. business transactions, bequest etc.

The second reason which makes them presume this aspect is because Allah refers to His revelations as "the book" in some translations.  But in many other good translations, the term "book" is replaced with "Scripture."   However, these readers are of the opinion that loose sheets of writings cannot be called "book" or "scripture."  Check the example below;

"And when there cometh unto them a messenger from Allah, confirming that which they possess, a party of those who have received the Scripture fling the Scripture of Allah behind their backs as if they knew not,"  (2:101)

Another translation of the same verse:

"And when there came to them a messenger from God confirming what was with them, a party of the people of the book, threw away the book of God (Quran) behind their backs, as if it had been something they did not know." (2:101)

But I do not agree with such a notion of some analysts to be a correct reason for presuming that the Quran was compiled after each revelation simply because this isn't practically possible.

The reason Allah refers to the Quranic revelations as "Scripture" or "book" from the beginning of the Prophet's mission is because Allah knows future events.  He knew that the Quran was destined to be compiled in the future.  Amazingly, there are many future aspects in the Quran which are referred to in the present tense as already accomplished.  All prophecies of the Quran are elucidated in the same style.

Moreover, Allah also refers to all the former Divine Scriptures as "books."

"We verily sent Our messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with them the Scripture and the Balance,"  57:25

This definitely includes the original scrolls of Noah, Abraham, Moses and Essa son of Maryam.  These Scriptures were very ancient.  As long as they remained original, there's no evidence that they were compiled in the form of a book.   In fact we do not even know length of time for which they remained original before being tampered by human hands.  Also, according to historical findings, proper parchment as we know it was not invented until about 200 BC in regions around Turkey and Greece.

Hence, the term "Scripture" or "book" basically means the Divine Message of guidance sent to the people of a community through their messengers and which is in their possession.  The complet text of the Glorious Quran was definitely compiled from the parchments.

Did the Prophet (S) write the revelations himself as they came down to him, instead of the scribes?

Some analysts are of the opinion that though the Prophet was unlettered and could not read nor write, he was able to write by the help and Will of Allah soon after the first revelation, and that he himself put the revelations in writing as they came to him, and not through the  the scribes.  I wouldn't agree with that at all.   Firstly, let's read Verses 80:15-16 as quoted above.  They say: "(Set down) by scribes" which elucidates that the Prophet did not write the revelations, he only recited them.  They were subsequently written down by the scribes.  Further, the Divine Words "Noble and righteous" also explain that these scribes were reliable people of reput whom the Prophet had chosen to write the revelations as he recited them.

By the way, the following verse is sometimes taken by certain readers as evidence that the Prophet was not completely unlettered and could write.

"And thou (O Muhammad) wast not a reader of any scripture before it, nor didst thou write it with thy right hand, for then might those have doubted, who follow falsehood."  (29:48)

But that presumption is wrong.  The above verse is not at all an indication of the Prophet's literacy.  It only explains that the Prophet (S) being unlettered had not studied any Divine Scripture prior to the revelation of the Quran, therefore he knew nothing about the events / contents of any former Scripture.  That made it impossible for him to write anything on his own.  If the Prophet had read the previous Scriptures then the deniers would find an excuse to doubt and accuse him.

The reason why some analysts presume that the Prophet (S) acquired the capability to write after the revelations and did not make use of the scribes arises from Verse 25:5.

"And they say: Fables of the men of old which he hath had written down so that they are dictated to him morn and evening."  (25:5)

But again, Verse 25:5 quoted above is no evidence of the Prophet's ability to write.  This verse refers to a general gossip by slanderers who would consider the Quranic revelations to be "fables" and accused the Prophet (S) of producing them in writing.  This included their guesswork of producing the contents in writing with the assistance of others.  Besides, many of these slanderers, who barely knew the Prophet (S), were not even aware that the Prophet was unlettered.   Thus, all their suppositions and comments were flatly inaccurate.

The Prophet (S) knew the Quran by memory

After every revelation, the Prophet would know its contents by memory.  In this way he knew the entire Quran by heart, something which is not an uncommon occurence even at present.  There are millions of Muslims who have memorized the Quran from cover to cover.  Memorization of the Quran is just as important as the written preservation / compilation of the Quran.  The reason being, written copies can at any time be destroyed by ruthless invaders or weather hazards.  But if the practice of memorizing a collection of writing becomes widespread, then even in case of its destruction, identical copies can be re-written without any difficulties and in a short time.

There are several verses in the Quran that instruct the Prophet to recite or "chant" the Quran, which means reciting it through memory.

"O thou wrapped up in thy raiment!
Keep vigil the night long, save a little -
A half thereof, or abate a little thereof
Or add (a little) thereto - and chant the Qur'an in measure,"
(73:1-4)

As the Quranic texts gradually increased in volume, the quantum of recitations were adjusted within certain portions of the night.

"Lo! thy Lord knoweth how thou keepest vigil sometimes nearly two-thirds of the night, or (sometimes) half or a third thereof, as do a party of those with thee. Allah measureth the night and the day. He knoweth that ye count it not, and turneth unto you in mercy. Recite, then, of the Qur'an that which is easy for you."  (73:20)

The above verse also shows that though the instruction of reciting the Quran was only for the Prophet (S), but other Muslims (his close and trustworthy companions) also followed this practice.

In reality, who was behind the unseen compilation of the Quran?

Yet another amazing aspect about the Noble Quran is, no matter how much credit for compiling it is attributed to the Prophet (S), Abu Bakr Siddiq, Umer bin Khattab and Usman bin Affan, in reality it was Allah Almighty Who had pre-ordained the arrangement of the Noble Quran.  Though the human eyes may not be able to discern, the Quran was arranged by these devout personalities according to the Divine pre-ordainment.  In other words, the unseen assistance and guidance of Allah to arrange/compile the parchments of the Quran as per His will came about automatically through those who took this responsibility.   The proof of it is as clear as ever in the following verses.

"Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it.
Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof.
And when We read it, follow thou the reading;
Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof."
(75:16-19)

Thus, it's emphasised upon the Prophet (S) not to rush with the revelations as they come to him, but to recite them patiently in order to grasp them fully while reciting.  As for their arrangement, their correct recital and the explanation of the revelations were the responsibility of Allah alone.

This is a beautifully written topic, sister.  I read it with utmost interest and care between this morning and now.  Needless to say, my shock still hasn't subsided on the nefarious fitna producing flatly untruthful manipulations contained in the cunning tales of Kitab al Masahif.  I didn't know of this branch of hadith slander earlier.  This branch of falsehood has been done so systematically that it has required the Hadith institution to set up a separate book for it.  Aren't the disbelieving liars in a mad rush in their race for Hellfire?

Thanks a lot sister for enlightening me.  I'll send this to everyone.  I've also noticed many Hadith lovers try to pretend that compilation of the Great Quran was much the same as that of the shameful Hadith.  Now I know that it's that little 'brothel' of the ancient "Persian literature" that's brainwashing these very naive and stupid folks who are the chatel slaves of that squalid den.

Many thanks for your correct understanding of the Truth and its appreciation, my sister.  May Allah Almighty reward you and bless you for your unusual wisdom.  ameen.

I want to put this up on my blog which is frequented by many bloggers.  I'm only trying to shorten it a bit.  If you can help me out with that, I'd be grateful.  Any abbreviations of paragraphs without omiting the essential contents that you are able to write, please email or PM me.

Was a pleasure going through it.

Something that really infuriates me is the most senseless and malicious Hadith claim that those scribes who wrote the Quran were the same as those who've narrated the Hadith.  Folks, this is a prize winning LIE.  Those scribes who wrote the Quran were few in number and very close to the Prophet.  Those who carefully cherished and preserved the Quran after the Prophet's death and then quickly began its compilation work were the Prophet's own family which also includes the righteous caliphs.

If compilation of the Quran had been in the hands of monsters like the hadith narrators, then there would be no need for them to narrate the Hadith separately.  They would have straight away introduced their interpolations into the Quran by altering it, just as the Jews and Christians did.  But that could never happen because Allah was Himself the Watcher over His Final Message.

As you correctly pointed out, Allah mentions about the Quran in verses 80:15-16 "(Set down) by scribes Noble and righteous." This flatly means that the people like the Hadith narrators were never the custodians of the Quran prior to its compilation. Allah would never call them "Noble" and "righteous."  The Hadith narrators were downright ignoble and unrighteous.  Let's face it, people like Abu Huraira, Abu Darda, Ursa bin Zubai, Anas bin Malik, Saad bin Malik etc. etc. etc. were all loafers who never knew the Prophet (pbuh), most had never even seen the Prophet.
