 BismEm

The answer is YES, and the evience for this is the personal experiences of numerous people around the world.  The power of the Glorious Quran is tremendous.  A breathtaking description of the power of the Quran is given in Verse 59:21, Surah Al-Hashr.

"If We had caused this Qur'an to descend upon a mountain, you (O Muhammad) verily had seen it humbled, rent asunder by the fear of Allah. Such similitudes coin We for mankind that haply they may reflect."  (59:21)

Isn't it amazing?   Verse 59:21 elucidates that if Allah had decided to clearly show us the power and strength of His words in the Final Message by making His words descend upon a mountain, that mountain would have been broken into pieces by the affect of the revalation of the Quranic words upon it.  That's how powerful and strong the Glorious Quran is.  Praise be to Allah, The Exalted.

Quran recitations definitely drive out hurful influence of evil jinn from homes etc.  And surely, the recitations of the Quran scare away Satan.   When the Quran is recited, Satan has no power or ability to interfere with it nor even be present close by.

"And when you recite the Qur'an, seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast.  Lo! he has no power over those who believe and put trust in their Rab. His power is only over those who make a friend of him, and those who ascribe partners unto Him (Allah)."  16:98-100  Surah An-Nahl

Even if you recite the verses without understanding them in Arabic, it still works as it has been observed.  The reason is that the Quranic recitations in such situations are not just interactions between the Quran and the one who recites them, rather the recitations directly reprimands the evil spirit.  Whether or not that evil jin understands the Arabic recitations of the Quran, it surely feels the impact of the Quranic words as a powerful and forceful backlash to drive it away.

It's very important that the Quran recited for protection from Satan and other evils must be recited in original Arabic, not the translations in other languages.

To drive away all such evils, Quranic verses must be recited as regularly as possible.  It's always advisable to recite by understanding the original Arabic.

Recitation must be done with complete Faith and trust in Allah.  To what extent Allah decides to help with the recitations of His Message is decided by Him only, and the reciters faith and intent are important factors for that.  If a person without faith or trust in Allah recites the Quran to drive out evil as a ritual, it is very likely that Allah will deny such a person the benefits of the Quran.

While any Surah or verse or verses of the Quran can be recited for protection from evil, the two most popular Surahs for this purpose are Al-Falaq (Chapter 113) and An-Nas (Chapter 114).   These two Surahs are the cries for protection from Satan and all evils. The two Surahs are also known as Al-Mu'awwidhatayn.  Surely, the best choice for short recitations for protection from evils is to recite Surah Al-Ikhlas (Tawheed), Al-Falaq and An-Nas .. Chapters 112, 113 and 114, respectively.

May Allah, The Exalted, grant all true believers His much needed protection against Satan the outcast and all evils, open and hidden.

Mash'Allah, this is a very interesting post and so very true.  Quran recitation helps so much against the presence of satan's temptations or evil jinn.  I know plenty of people who have been troubled by the presence of jinn in their homes and have successfully relied on only the Quranic recitations (on a permanent basis) for cleasing the place and acquiring peace.  The Noble Quran works wonders in driving out satan and all evils, and it also makes the reciter feel very brave and not afraid of these evils.

It's also surprising to know that many Muslims don't believe in this.  I've heard even some so-called Quran alone followers say that the "Quran cannot drive out evil."  I don't follow their mindset.  Allah has highlghted the power of the Quran and its ability to keep satan far away so clearly in His Final Message.  Yet, those people who brag being "Quran alone followers" deny so much of the Quran's true power.

Thank you for this very truthful piece, sister.  I really like it.
