The Noble Quran contains a very straight-forward assertion which is a very apt analogy, comparing the beliefs of the Makkan idolaters with beliefs of many present so-called Muslims, who like those Makkans have destroyed the Monotheistic (Tawheed) Faith by obscuring it with the rules and laws of the man-written Hadith that are not compatible with the Noble Quran.
Refering to Verse 6:137 where the Noble Quran mentions the pagan custom of burying alive female babies who were deemed superfluous:
"Thus have their (so-called) partners (of Allah) made the killing of their children to seem fair unto many of the idolaters, that they may ruin them and make their faith obscure for them." (6:137) Surah Al-Anam If those idolaters who indulged in this sinful practice were told to refrain from it, their reaction would be negative and fierce. They were so engrossed in their sinful deviations that the path of truth became obscure to them because of their deep love and devotion to their false beliefs. Haven't the Hadith laws, bulk of which defy, contradict or ignore the Noble Quran, have obscured the principles of the Quran in exactly the same manner for majority of the Muslims today who have made the Hadith their criterion?
Furthermore, in Verses 6:138-140 and Verses 6:143-144, Allah has mentioned a collection of superstitious customs and practices of the pagans regarding cattle which they indulged in, for which Allah had given them NO warrant. Yet they practiced those traditions and falsely attributed them to Allah.
Quoting Verses 6:138 to 140 of Surah Al-Anam:
"And they say: Such cattle and crops are forbidden. No-one is to eat of them save whom we will - in their make-believe - cattle whose backs are forbidden, cattle over which they mention not the name of Allah. (All that is) a lie against Him. He will repay them for that which they invent.
And they say: That which is in the bellies of such cattle is reserved for our males and is forbidden to our wives; but if it be born dead, then they (all) may be partakers thereof. He will reward them for their attribution (of such ordinances unto Him). Lo, He is Wise, Aware.
They are losers who besottedly have slain their children without knowledge, and have forbidden that which Allah bestowed upon them, inventing a lie against Allah. They indeed have gone astray and are not guided."Verses 6:143-144 of Surah Al-Anam:
"(They are) eight mates: Of the sheep twain, and of the goats twain. Say: Has He forbidden the two males or the two females, or that which the wombs of the two females contain ? Expound to me (the case) with knowledge, if you are truthful.
And of the camels twain and of the oxen twain. Say: Has He forbidden the two males or the two females, or that which the wombs of the two females contain; or were you by to witness when Allah commanded you (all) this ? Then who doth greater wrong than he who devises a lie concerning Allah, that he may lead mankind astray without knowledge. Indeed, Allah guides not wrongdoing folk."From the above quoted Verses it is crystal clear how greatly Allah abhors the habit of people who invent gossips and lies and embrace them by falsely claiming them to be from Allah.
At present the zealous followers of Hadith have removed the fear of Allah from their hearts because they are too wrapped up with the love of their saints, sheikhs and imams whose discrepant and fallacious human instructions have made them forget the enormity of their violations of abandoning the laws of Allah. Thus, they uphold the sayings / writings of their "sahabas" and imams and falsely attribute them to Allah by again falsely claiming them to be "traditions of the Prophet," incurring sin upon sin. They lie about Allah by using the name of the Prophet.
Ahadith that order people not to wear silk, gold and perfume, ahadith that equate the use of perfume with adultery, ahadith that claim dogs are Haram and black dogs are evil, ahadith that have circulated tales about Essa son of Maryam returning to earth, Mahdi returning to earth and the coming of anti-christ or Dajjal, ahadith that portray the Prophet (SAW) as a fortune teller, ahadith that hurl insults at the Prophet, ahadith that have re-introduced punishments by stoning from the pagan era, and many more that starkly contradict the Quranic dictates and laws are lies against Allah, The Exalted and against His Final Messenger in exactly the same way the pre-Islamic Makkans invented lies against Allah as elucidated in clear terms in the above quoted Verses.
The fabricated and false ahadith have also been joined by a long list of fatwas by modern imams that attribute similar lies to Allah and the Final Messenger.
Only Allah knows how many people have ruined their chances of Salvation in the Hereafter by following such harmful guessworks after Allah's warning in the Quran not to follow stories for which He has given no warrant and after Allah's confirmation that ONLY the Noble Quran is the Criterion.
"Blessed is He Who hath revealed unto His slave the Criterion (of right and wrong), that he may be a warner to the peoples." (25:1) Surah Al-FurqanMost Muslims at present are probably not even aware of the contents of the above Verse. But alas! where will these folks and their saints hide on the Day of Judgment?
