"Lo! those who ward off (evil), when a glamour from the devil troubles them, they do but remember (Allah's guidance) and behold them seers!"  (7:189) Surah Al-Araf

Unfortunately we are living in a world where secularism is the norm.  This is a world that is mesmerized and consumed with the love of glamor, glitter, fame, money, luxury, jewels, body-revealing clothes, plush homes, fancy cars etc.  People who cannot afford to acquire these earthly benefits often envy those who can.  People who are trying to follow the path of Allah sometimes get distracted by these useless and temporary attractions, forgetting that such earthly glamor and riches carry no relevance in the Hereafter.  So, if you are rightly guided and suddenly you feel that Shaitan is trying to tempt you by creating desires within you through awe and envy of some rich or famous person, don't lose control of yourself.  Don't give in to such temptations of Shaitan.  Hold tight to your will-power and taqwa, remember Allah with sincerity and love, and remember the guidance of Allah and how He has saved you from the destruction of sins in the past.  Become realistic.  Try to understand the endless beauty and importance of the permanent life in the Hereafter and the useless nature of the temporary earthly life with its small glamor.  If you sincerely wish to succeed by holding on to the path of Allah,  He will give you the ability to perceive the flaws of Shaitan's temptation and subsequently you will be able to get rid of that temptation very easily.
