"Trent the baby and Angie the lioness"

Watch this folks.  Frankly I wasn't comfortable watching it.  As someone remarked, it's like waving a chicken nugget in front of a hungry teenager.   At the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo at Wyoming, this little 1-year-old baby boy goes near the glass panel outside of which is a lioness (or perhaps 2 lionesses) and she desperately tries to reach out to the baby but was helpless because of the glass panel.  The parents of the kid sounded amused, of course because they knew the baby was safe.  But still, I would never be comfortable in such  scenario if it was my baby.  Some people who watched this video say that the lioness wasn't trying to hurt the baby but was trying to play.  I doubt it.  There's this notion that big cats don't attack toddlers nor do they eat people who are fast asleep nor dead bodies.  But only Allah knows best how far this is correct.

Anyhow, here's the video:

o yes, of course it's disturbing.  This is the idea of some parents in the west to bring up their kids in an "earth friendly" atmosphere.

Furthermore, that notion about lions, tigers and other big cats not attacking humans while they sleep is nonsense.  All big cats do very much have a tendency of attacking sleeping humans and sleeping animals.  It's happened any number of times in various African countries, VietNam, Northern India, Nepal, North America (where mountain lions and coughars are common) and certain other parts of the world where tigers or lions exist.  Many hikers and farmers who decide to sleep outdoor in summer after a hard day's work have been fatally attacked by hungry big cats.  To presume that big cats won't hurt human babies and toddlers is also a complete myth.  It basically depends how hungry the big cat is.  If the carnivorous animal is hungry, it will surely attack any man or animal even if they are asleep and neither will it spare a human baby.  The fact that a human baby will not satisfy the appetite of a hungry big cat is another matter.  But the big cat will definitely attack a human toddler if it's even slightly hungry.  In this video the lioness tryng to reach out to baby Trent was no joke on her part.

Some people who watched this video say that the lioness wasn't trying to hurt the baby but was trying to play.

No way.  That lioness was simply hoping for some light snack before dinner.
