It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

 BismEm

"O People of the Scripture! Why will ye argue about Abraham, when the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed till after him ? Have ye then no sense ?"   (3:65)  Al-Imraan.

Salaams everyone.  I have a question here.  Do you think this verse 3:65 might mean that there was no mention of Prophet Abraham in the original Torah and the Gospel?

Wa'salam.  No sis, it doesn't mean that.  The meaning becomes clearer when you read through upto Verse 3:67.

Verse 3:66 says: "Lo! ye are those who argue about that whereof ye have some knowledge: Why then argue ye concerning that whereof ye have no knowledge ? Allah knoweth. Ye know not"

Then Verse 3:67 says: "Abraham was not a Jew, nor yet a Christian; but he was an upright man who had surrendered (to Allah), and he was not of the idolaters"

Hence, in my opinion what Verse 3:65 means is that the Jews started claiming that Prophet Abraham was a Jew while the Christians began claiming he was a Christian.  As we know, Jews follow the Torah and Christians follow the Gospel which they have altered a great deal.  Thus, in Verse 3:65 Allah tells the Jews and Christians that Abraham came much before the Torah and Gospel were given to them and therefor also much before the Torah and Gospel were altered by them. So, how can they give Abraham the label of being a "Jew" or a "Christian" when they weren't even present when Abraham came and nor did they possess their Divine Scriptures at that time.

In my humble opinion this is what it means.  But the final explanation is with Allah only.

^That is how I interpreted it as well.

“Truth always rests with the minority, and the minority is always stronger than the majority, because the minority is generally formed by those who really have an opinion, while the strength of a majority is illusory, formed by the gangs who have no opinion — and who, therefore, in the next instant (when it is evident that the minority is the stronger) assume its opinion… while truth again reverts to a new minority.”

O, okay.  Thanks a lot sister Zainab and brother RM.  Yes now when I see it, there's a clear link between verse 3:65 and 3:67.

And apart from claiming that he was a "Jew" or a "Christian," the People of the Scripture have also come up with plenty of other concoctions about Prophet Abraham's personal life which have subsequently been borrowed by the Bukhari & other hadiths.  If u recall, you have already contributed a very informative piece (rather the entire thread is an excellent analytical refutation of false stories) exposing the gossips of Prophet Abraham's personal life by these extra-Quranic sources.  Therefor, although the verse u inquired about refers to the wrong claims of the Jews & Christians of labelling Abraham as a "Jew" or a "christian," these people are responsible for propagating a big bundle of wrong info about Abraham just as they've done with every other issue and in the process erased the authentic biblical history altogether.

O yes, they've made a joke of biblical history.  The falsehoods particularly against Prophets Abraham and David are immense.

Thanks sis.
