This dua in our own words is particularly considered right for Ramadan but it can be offered throughout the year.

O Allah! make my fasts the fasts of those who fast sincerely.  Make my standing up in prayer, the standing up of those who stand obediently.  Awaken me from the sleep of the heedless and forgive me my sins, O God of the worlds.  Forgive me, O Allah, The One - only You can forgive all sinners.

Make plenty of supplications on this month and always with as much sincerity you can muster in your hearts.   Before supplicating, try to think of your personal priorities, Halal priorities of course.  Here is how I arrange my priorities and supplicate in my own words .. in whichever language you can speak.

1) First and foremost, I ask Allah to strengthen my iman and to continue strengthening it by the day so that on the day I leave this world my iman will be at its strongest.
2) Secondly, I ask Allah to ease the transition of my soul whenever it happens, and it can happen anytime to anyone.  May Allah make us pass away with peace and minimal of pain and minimal of worries for any important unfinished task we might have left behind.

3) Thirdly, I pray to Allah to shape my life in a way He considers in my best interest so that when I reach the end of my road, my situation  is most favorable for me.

Ameen, ya Rab, ameen.

Ameen, ameen.  Great du'a.  Ramadan is not too far, tentatively starting on last week of July, InshAllah.
