hua haahahaha  HysLaugh

Goodie goodie quote.  Sounds familiar.  Whose is it?

Hadith reminds me of the fairy tale of those two little kids, Hanzel and Gretal, brother and sister .. hungry and wandering in the forest.  And then they come across a tiny cottage or cabin made of cake, candies and bread.  They're dumbstruck with awe.  An old woman comes out of the cottage made of food an invites them in.  She's a witch and when the poor kids go in, she traps them.

Thus, Bukhari & co. + their followers =  the witch + hanzel and gretal, respectively  Grin Cheesy Grin

That's what happens when one falls into the temptations of satan.

LOL ,, perfect quote to describe the story of Hadith and the cause of its proliferation.  And that example of yours was amusing sister Ruhi.  Our kids are taught the lies of Hadith from a very young age and that's why their minds become so rigid by the time they're in their late teens and 20s.  The big problem here is that when they will realize that it's all falsehood, it will be much too late.  The way the optical phenomenon of mirage in the desert deceives a thirsty person who comes rushing to it thinking it to be water, but when he comes close he realizes it's nothing but dry hot sand!  It will be exactly the same story with Hadith and its followers.  On the Day of Judgment they will realize that they had abandoned the truth and what they had been running after all their lives was piracy & forgery.    May Allah Almighty guide them, but He guides only those who seek for His guidance.  The Hadithists seem to hate the guidance of Allah.  Instead, their hearts dwell with the misguidance of their imams and so-called ulemas.  So, I say, let them learn the hard way on the Day of Judgment.  They will get only what they asked for, and Allah Almighty is NEVER unjust with His slaves.

P.S.  @ Sister Ruhi .. I think that quote is by mark twain but not sure.

This quote is spot-on in the context of hadith!

“Truth always rests with the minority, and the minority is always stronger than the majority, because the minority is generally formed by those who really have an opinion, while the strength of a majority is illusory, formed by the gangs who have no opinion — and who, therefore, in the next instant (when it is evident that the minority is the stronger) assume its opinion… while truth again reverts to a new minority.”

The Hadithers don't want to hear the truth because they don't want their illusions destroyed.

Amazing thread ..  Smiley  sounds just spot on.   The discussion group at our Islamic community center had a lengthy discussion on this last week.  It wasn't a chosen agenda but the topic somehow just arose, don't recall how.  Just my cousin and me against 8 Hadithists at the table Cheesy   So you can imagine the pandemonium.  Though very calmly and amicably, we made our point clear.  They kept refuting but from the inside they felt sheepish .. was showing on their faces  Grin

Here is what we told them.  Hadithists hold a core traditional belief taught to them since childhood by their elders, based on social customs and old traditions.  That core belief becomes very strong by the time they reach adulthood and is ignorantly connected with Faith.   Then, when they are presented with truthful evidence that works against that core belief by exposing its cracks and holes, that truthful evidence cannot be accepted by them.  It creates a feeling of being duped by their "spiritualists" that's often accompanied by emotional discomfort and anger on those who have exposed the faults of that core traditional belief.    Protecting that core belief becomes their life's mission.   For the sake of protecting it, they will forcibly rationalize, ignore and even deny anything that does not fit with it.  For this reason, evidences straight from the Noble Quran on the discrepancy of Hadith contents and the violation of annexing it with the Quran falls on deaf ears of the Hadithists.

It's a condition of the mind referred to as 'cognitive dissonance' or a kind of mental discomfort or mental irritation caused by conflicting values.  In a state of dissonance, people experience surprise, dread, guilt, anger or embarrassment.  It is a result of being inclined toward a certain decision even though the evidence against it distinctly appears more truthful and suitable.  A simple practical example of this would be the conflict in a smoker's mind between wanting to smoke and knowing that smoking is unhealthy.  The truth about the harmful affects of smoking keeps flashing into the smoker's mind, dissuading him from smoking.  But the desire to smoke getting the better of him, forces him to shut his mind to the truth and instead focus on the temporary pleasures of smoking.   Another interesting example - the children's story "Fox and the Grapes."  When the fox fails to jump high enough to reach the grapes on the branch of the tree, he decides he does not want them after all.   Similarly, even if the Hadithists perceive the violations of the Hadith and its total incompatibility with the Noble Quran, they are unable to abandon that core traditional belief instilled in their minds since childhood by their elders and teachers.  Subsequently, they secretly experience emotional discomfort involving anger, fear and disappointment.  To overcome this discomfort they forcibly dispel the truthful evidences that expose the faults of that core traditional belief - the Hadith.

Brother PT .. that was a remarkable piece.  The discussion must have been interesting .. well "interesting" is an understatement .. it must have been enthralling !!  teethsmile    Usually, online, such discussions break out into a 'noisy' fight with Hadithers.  I will piece up the contents of this thread contributed by each one of you and post it on the blog as a single article .. InshAllah.
