Since the past one year an article has been circulating to promote the musings of a theoretical cosmologist, Sean Carrol, in California who thinks that ultimately science will prove that God doesn't exist, even though he does not deny that endless cosmic mysteries exist and neither has he confirmed his opinion how science will explain everything in future .. not even remotely.

STORIES OF ILLUSIONS:
A write-up titled  Will science some day rule out the possibility of God?  by Natalie Wolchover based on the contents of "Blackwell Companion to Science and Christianity" basically contains the usual inconclusive arguments of skeptics that keep popping up periodically.   Carrol compares the reality of God with the general aspect of the "supernatural."   He prefers to dismiss the questions he cannot answer himself as his "evidence" of non-existence of God.  His  suggests that only specific happenings in the universe need explanations but a complete scientific theory needs no explanation.  Carrol upholds this theory for the sole purpose to emphasize his personal opinion of God being "an unnecessary complication."   He then jumps to the conclusion that science will eradicate the concept of God in future, yet he leaves those umpteen numbers of questions raised by his own studies unanswered.

Some orthodox Christian theologians equate the "Big Bang" with the creation of the world which is itself a guesswork.  Carrol, though a cosmologist, takes into account the presumption of the Christian theologians by adding a second guesswork to it.  He presumes that sometime in future the theory of "quantum gravity" will prove that the "Big Bang" happened on its own.

Physicists and cosmologists surmise that the aspect of time started with the "Big Bang" yet they claim that they don't see the "role of God in it."  How typical of not accepting what one cannot comprehend due to one's own lack of ability to unravel the unseen.

The concept of "multiverse" (an idea of the existence of countless number of universes) which physicists presume as the possible reason our universe is among one of the many life-giving ones is itself officially stated as a "prediction."  The illusion constructed over this prediction claims that the universe we live in, "accidentally" became one of the life-giving universes with plants, trees, mountains, water and mammals without giving any reasons for that 'accident' other than we being "the lucky ones."   What an affront to science!  These are the folks who are inclined to reject God for lack of reasons.

Despite such wild suppositions from his colleagues, Stephen Hawking - the master of all illusions - claims "The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge."   A spectacular example of pelting stones from a glasshouse.

Isn't it a colossal oversight of the human ego which prevents the theories of modern physicists and cosmologists from perceiving the reality, that far from denying the existence of God, science actually compliments it?   Isn't it only the obstinacy and self-conceit of the human mind that misinterprets science as the denial of God?

Needless to say, finding scientific reasons within the grasp of the human mind for all the occurrences in the cosmos is by NO means an indispensable condition for the acceptance of God.  The scientific causes for these occurrences are linked with higher laws of science based on various research and in-depth studies.  The next vital question:  Who made these higher laws?  The 'scientific' answers for that would be "we don't know" or "it's a coincident."  Both these answers are not just unscientific, presumptive and insufficient but are undeserved insults to science.  Science deserves much better praise for whatever it has helped us to achieve to strengthen our Faith in God.   The higher laws can only be made by a much Higher Power in the realm of the Unseen which is beyond the jurisdiction of science.   For instance, science knows a great deal about the physical heart, but nothing about the spiritual soul as that belongs to a very different domain accessible only by that Single Highest Power.  The inaccessibility of scientific study within certain domains is NO reason to conclude that those domains do not exist.

Every scientist, every astronomer of every era, when intellectually quizzed has conceded that whatever they know about the cosmos is yet very little compared to everything they don't know and may never know.

As humans keep rolling and rotting in the filth of their own sinking ethical values, it becomes necessary and convenient for them to dismiss the reality of Divine Justice.  Skeptics and atheists claim that the existence of God is used only to ease the fear of death and comfort the mind.  But psychological reality exposes much the opposite, that being dismissive of God soothes the minds of skeptics by allowing them to live their lives without the 'obstacle' of the Ultimate Accountability.  They aren't able to comprehend that being fixated upon denial by using "science" as an insufficient weapon will not abolish the Truth that firmly stands undiminished in the backdrop as the Unseen, despite desperate attempts to fight it.

SCIENCE AND ALTERED BIBLES:
More often than not, the arguments of secularists and modernists to dismiss faith are based on the discrepant information contained within the different versions of the altered Old and New Testaments written, re-written and re-re-written over the past centuries that are filled with plenty of absurdities.  A more or less identical man-written annexation in Islam is called 'Hadith.'  Indeed they clash with science, clash with common sense and are responsible for much of the dismissive attitude generated toward faith.  Such dissatisfaction has had two profoundly negative consequences.  It has either turned people away from God altogether or separated faith from daily life which is a very fallacious and pointless approach resulting in ritualistic following of the Monotheistic Religion.

It would be correct to assume that the discrepant contents of the altered Old and New Testaments are largely responsible for the trend of pitting science against God by modern cosmologists in the West.  Subsequently, the works of the cosmologists based on the infamous "Blackwell Companion to Science and Christianity"  referred to as the "contemporary thought at the intersection of science and Christianity" only comes with a load of speculations that create more questions than answering any.   When modernism is stretched too far, it ends up touching the traditional notion of the Renaissance era, that is, linking science with advancement and  religion with regression.  But in reality not everything is spelled out in 'black and white' as much as they presume.

SCIENCE AND GLORIOUS QURAN:
On the contrary, numerous Quranic assertions on many aspects of the cosmos and the earth that include the movement of the sun along with the solar system (proven very recently), revolution/rotation of the earth, formation of clouds, rainfall, the complete cycle of birth and life as we see it, existence of the two genders even in plants and much more .... all of which we presently know to be the threshold of scientific developments cannot be overlooked by an inquiring truth-seeker.  Inclusion of the foundations of many scientific realities contained within the Quran proven hundreds of years later have astonished many sober and thoughtful intellects throughout the centuries that followed.

The common presumption taken for granted for failing to get to the Unseen is that a "well-read modern man's intelligence" is above that of the Divine Power and His Revelations, omiting the reality which one would plainly discern as the reverse.  The modern man's denial that comes from their very limited perception of the infinite Unseen (not simply the "infinite universes" ensuing from the "multiverse" assumption) is itself a glaring evidence of their incompetence to encompass the Divine Power and His definite existence.

As always, the closing statements to sum up science is provided by none other than the Glorious Quran which tells us plainly why so many scientific theories go unanswered.

"And they say: There is naught but our life of the world; we die and we live, and naught destroys us save time; when they have no knowledge whatsoever of (all) that; they do but guess." (45:24).

"Or were they created out of naught ? Or are they the creators ?  Or did they create the heavens and the earth ? Nay, but they are sure of nothing!  Or do they own the treasures of thy Lord ? Or have they been given charge (thereof) ?"  (52:35-37)

"And when it is said unto them: believe as the people believe, they say: shall we believe as the foolish believe ? are not they indeed the foolish ? But they know not." (2:13)

"Allah (Himself) doth mock them, leaving them to wander blindly on in their contumacy."  (2:15)

"Such is their sum of knowledge. Lo! thy Lord is Best Aware of him who strayeth, and He is Best Aware of him whom goeth right."

Thumbsup  sister zeynab  may allah bless u Smiley

Honestly i have deep sympathy for such poor people those who do not believe, infact have No faith ,they have doubt on their existence too .Such knowledgeable mentally ill people so-called.cosmologer they are searching their own soul. Alhamdulillah.Allah does not need to proof himself  to ill folks .CREATOR IS THE AUTHOR OF THE QURAN Allah himself is the proof of his existences, Quran it self is the proof of existance of Allah. So if a person wants any proof for the existance of Allah /GOD then the best guide is the Quran The challange of Quran to mankind still in pending.why ??  More then 1400 years have passed by since this challenge was issued.People around the world researched, using Science and now computers too,but gave up.None could take up this challange
The challenge to produce a Surah, which,in beauty, eloquence, depth and meaning is at least somewhat similar to a Quranic Surah remains unmet to this day.Study the Quran and analyze whether Quran and Modern Science are compatible or incompatible ? thousand of verses deal with science ?? prove it wrong first
.
And if ye are in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto Our slave (Muhammad), then produce a surah of the like thereof, and call your witness beside Allah if ye are truthful.2:23

And if ye do it not - and ye can never do it - then guard yourselves against the Fire prepared for disbelievers, whose fuel is of men and stones.2:24

And they have no knowledge thereof. They follow but a guess, and lo! a guess can never take the place of the truth.53:28

And they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, for spite and arrogance. Then see the nature of the consequence for the wrong-doers! 27:14

Walaikum Salaam to dear sisters Zeynab and Muslima.

Sister Muslima, what a great & refeshing reply to a very informative detailed article that exposes the total ignorance of "knowledgeable mentally ill" people as sister Muslima put very accurately.

I had read this article very carefully yesterday but didn't have the time to respond.  So I'm back now.

You know what? All these theories on the cosmos are actually philosophies (which is another expression for figments of the imagination). What these guys are doing is taking the basic scientific factors as 'foundation' and building up notions on them called "theories." It's weird. Every cosmologist's brainchild blows up into a "theory" labelled with a flashy terminology and carries itself a couple of steps ahead of that 'foundation' they stand on. A closer look leaves their works infested with that game called "fill in the blanks." But the blanks are never filled.

Thank you sisters Zeynab and Muslima.  Allah bless.

Philosophy is basically another name of decorative speculation. Cosmologists' philosophies are fractured speculations. Hence one can imagine the infinite scope for fallacies and pitfalls.

Furthermore, Sister Zainab's view on Western cosmologists' approach of critisizm being based on Biblical myths is very correct. Let me quote one sentence to further prove this point.

"Skeptics and atheists claim that the existence of God is used only to ease the fear of death and comfort the mind."

I have heard this myself from scores of Western secularists and scientists. Now, would you know what I mean? Let me explain.

The idea of Paradise by excluding the presence of Hell or any punishment in the Hereafter is a typical Christian / Jewish concept. According to the self-serving desires and ideas of these people, they only talk about Paradise after death, as if everyone regardless of their beliefs and deeds with land up in Paradise. Just as they ignore justice in this world, they ignore justice in the Hereafter too. They exclude Divine Accountability by taking Paradise for granted as though Salvation is at their discretion. Very conveniently, the concept of Hell is absent in Christian and Jewish spiritual studies that are no longer Divine at all but have been re-written by human hands with the guile of the human mind from start to finish.

On the basis of this presumption, those who fail in life or are in despair derive solace by thinking of death through their imaginary idea that they will not face Divine Accountability. Instead, they assume that after resurrection they will straight away go into Paradise with complete & unconditional forgiveness.

The Western scientists/cosmologists/astronomers who have never studied the Divine Quran, are focused only on the man-written spiritual ideas of their communities. Thus, they use the psychological interpretation of their peoples' minds to refute their spiritual theories and to refute God. In other words, the Western spiritualists have altered & misinterpreted the Hereafter, and the Western secularists work on the footsteps of this altered misinterpretation.

If only these very ignorant folks had studied the Quran in the light it's meant to be studied, they would know how low they've fallen into darkness as a result of their own conjectures and selfish desires.

Ha ha ha, well said sister Muslima.  Let's just call them mentally sick "geniuses."

Such modernists are really mind boggling creatures.  Why don't they at least do their research properly into what the Divine Faith actually is before presuming it from manipulated stories of non-Divine faiths?   Why don't they research the Noble Quran?  This is the only source of original and unchanged Divine Message.  Yet they take it as a joke, and then carry out guessworks about the universe.  What a lost cause!

I agree .. these "theories" are nothing beyond weak philosophies.  And yeah, that bit brother PT pointed out about the psychological reason which modernists pick for religion that it eases the fear of death comes from the manipulation of abolishing the reality of Hellfire in the Hereafter.  Sister Zeynab has also penned an article on this topic of trying to bypass Hellfire in Christianity titled THREATS OF PUNISHMENT IN THE GLORIOUS QURAN.  It's a great article that explains much of the non-Muslim mindset.  Yet, many non-Muslims however much they try to ignore the existence of Hellfire are sub-consciously aware of it and scared stiff of death because of their disbelief and perpetual committing of sins.  That's why not just the scientists, but also the readers of their deeply faulty "theories" enjoy reading their stuff because as sister Zeynab rightly pointed out that it eases their earthly lives to think that they can live without the "obstacle" of the Final Divine Accountability.  But they are deceiving themselves.  The Final Divine Accountability or the Day of Judgement can NEVER be averted.  No question about that.  These fools will only wake up during resurrection to realize how terribly they have deceived themselves.

Those cosmologists, scientists or astronomers who refute God actually refute the man-made ideology of Christianity because this is their only exposure to "religion."

Now this is a very interesting read.  Don't miss it.  It's the experience of a neuro-surgeon (or a brain surgeon) who went into coma because of an illness.  During that comatose state, when according to scientific logic it was impossible for his brain to function in any way at all, he experienced something very vivid.

Source:  Yahoo News!

Heaven is real, says neurosurgeon

Dr. Eben Alexander has taught at Harvard Medical School and has earned a strong reputation as a neurosurgeon. And while Alexander says he's long called himself a Christian, he never held deeply religious beliefs or a pronounced faith in the afterlife.

But after a week in a coma during the fall of 2008, during which his neocortex ceased to function, Alexander claims he experienced a life-changing visit to the afterlife, specifically heaven.

"According to current medical understanding of the brain and mind, there is absolutely no way that I could have experienced even a dim and limited consciousness during my time in the coma, much less the hyper-vivid and completely coherent odyssey I underwent," Alexander writes in the cover story of this week's edition of Newsweek.

So what exactly does heaven look like?

Alexander says he first found himself floating above clouds before witnessing, "transparent, shimmering beings arced across the sky, leaving long, streamer like lines behind them."

He claims to have been escorted by an unknown female companion and says he communicated with these beings through a method of correspondence that transcended language. Alexander says the messages he received from those beings loosely translated as:  "You are loved and cherished, dearly, forever."  "You have nothing to fear."  "There is nothing you can do wrong."

From there, Alexander claims to have traveled to "an immense void, completely dark, infinite in size, yet also infinitely comforting." He believes this void was the home of God.

After recovering from his meningitis-induced coma, Alexander says he was reluctant to share his experience with his colleagues but found comfort inside the walls of his church. He's chronicled his experience in a new book, "Proof of Heaven: A neurosurgeon's journey into the afterlife," which will be published in late October.

"I'm still a doctor, and still a man of science every bit as much as I was before I had my experience," Alexander writes. "But on a deep level I'm very different from the person I was before, because I've caught a glimpse of this emerging picture of reality. And you can believe me when I tell you that it will be worth every bit of the work it will take us, and those who come after us, to get it right."

That's a beautiful one.   The skeptics will remain silent and their fans will gradually start responding to it by mockery and ridicule for lack of any answers.

I pray and hope the doctor never forgets this experience and someday submits to Allah as an official follower of Tawheed - a Muslim.  InshAllah.

Spot on, Sis!!  Couldn't agree more.  The four topics that are fanatically touted by falsifiers and so-called modernists in an attempt to look "intellectual" are:

-  Rejecting Allah Almighty.
-  Bashing Islam.
-  Professing multi-faith.
-  Obsession with feminism.

-  Obsession with feminism.

Salaams sister Heba,
I just wanted to ask if you could expound on the idea of seeming intellectual with an obsession with feminism and how you perceive that as a woman yourself?

Wa'salaam brother MuslimMahlon.  Sister Heba is not repudiating the status of womens' rights, if that's how you are reading it.  She's simply hinting on its misuse, utilizing it as a tool to stamp labels on an ideology under fire ..... like .. if you're "Muslim then oh!  you are pro-enslaving women" ... they see a woman wear a niqab, the chorus begins "she's oppressed because Islam denies freedom to women."  And the mind-boggling twists and turns go on and on from various segments; this is one of their designs of painting Islam in black & white.  It's a very common attitude and needless to say, a terribly wrong one.  I'm sure you're aware of the situation so I'll say no more.

Any concept, if stretched too far, gets radicalized and feminism is no exception.  There are sensible feminists as well as firebrand ones.  The attitude of the latter portrays a very fine line between feminism and misogynism whereas feminism is meant for promoting the rights women are worth, not for creating belligerent groups nor antagonism between communities/individuals.  We aren't looking at single Western women who feel they aren't cut out to marry or raise families etc.  We are basically focused on Muslim women, by far the majority of whom are family oriented along side their careers (those who wish to have it) and they want their status & intellectual rights to be recognized with respect on the basis of pragmatism and rationale, not as a noisy movement burning bras and wearing their husbands' pants. Not that there's anything wrong if a woman can fit into her husband's pant ...  I mean the attitude.
