November 01, 2023, 03:38:26 pm Zainab_M: Keep praying, praying a lot for Gaza. It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.
July 29, 2023, 03:02:07 am Zainab_M: Yesterday was Ashura, Muharram 10, 1444 (July 27, 2023).  Read about this very tragic day and details of the world's greatest 7th century revolutionary: WHO WAS HUSSEIN.
June 28, 2023, 09:48:39 am Zainab_M: Walaikum As Salaam.  This was the first Hajj open to all after the pandemic. It was attended by 2.6 million Muslims.

Summary of this video:

There are a total of about half a million (500,000) Muslims in Ukraine, mostly Crimean Tartars in the region of Crimea.  That makes up approximately 1% of Ukraine's 44 million population which is a mix of secular and orthodox Ukrainian Christians and approximately 400,000 Jews (descendants of the Khazars).   The eastern Donbas region (Donetsk and Luhansk) of Ukraine has a more significant ratio of Muslims, up to 6% of the population.

Tartars were a nomadic tribe that lived in north-east Mongolia in the 5th century.  Back then, they were a part of Chengez Khan's invasion army.  After the collapse of his empire, the Tartars formed a bond establishing their base from western to eastern Mongolia.  The powerhouse in Moscow made several attempts to conquer them but their strong bond helped them to hold their ground.

The Tartars converted to Islam in the 13th century during the reign of Uzbeg Khan when Islam was a rapidly growing Religion.

As an empire in the 1300s the Tartars has formed close ties with the Ottomans.

However their internal differences didn't let them stay strong for long.  By the 14th century they had disintegrated.  The disintegration and parting of ways weakened the erstwhile strong Tartar empire and were easily absorbed by other existing powerhouses.  Gradually most of them including the Crimean Tartars became part of the Russian empire.  After formation of the USSR in early 1920s, Crimea became a part of the Soviet Union.   In 1944 the Muslim Crimean Tartars were exiled in Uzbekistan.  This step was taken at the behest of Joseph Stalin as part of an ethnic transfer exercise.  This was one huge exodus of the Crimean Tartar Muslims with hundreds of thousands of them abandoning their homes, farms and animals to go to a far away land.  But the Tartars preserved their Religion and culture by teaching it to their children.  This act of steadfastness made it easy for the Tartar Muslims to move back to Crimea several decades later in 1989 (after the collapse of USSR) with their Faith and culture intact.   That period in history is often described as the 'return of the Tartars.'   Thus Crimea became an autonomous part of the new Ukrainian republic.  In 1991 with the break-up of the Soviet Union was completed, almost all Crimean Tartars had moved back to their homeland in Crimea in trains so crowded that people sat on train roof tops to travel.

Roxelana who lived as a no-body in a small Ukrainian town of Rohatyn, was among those taken to Crimea during a raid of that town by the Tartars.  She later went to Turkey where she married Sultan the Magnificent and subsequently rose to the peak of power never before attained by any female in the Ottoman empire nor outside of it.  The Suleimani Mosque in Mariopol, Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, is evidence of the Ottoman influence in the region.

Yes, I too didn't know that.  I don't think that's correct.  Actually, Crimean Tatars are of Turkic origin formed on the Crimean Peninsula and in the steppe areas of Ukraine.   That gets some historians mixed-up, jumping to the conclusion that they had connections with the people of the steppes of Central Asia where Chengez & Halagu khan belonged.

Tartars (  تاتارلر  ) originally consisted of various Turkic groups that stretched along the steppes of north-west, central and eastern Asia.  It was like a confederation and approximately in the 13th century or earlier this confederation of Tartars was incorporated in the Mongol empire by Chengis Khan when he unified the different tribes along the steppes.

Briefly put, they all had similar regional origins .. across north, central and eastern Asia.  If you check the old maps, the region east of Hungary was dubbed as "European Russia" and the border of western Kazakhstan (north of the Caspian sea) was almost joined with the eastern border of Hungary (just north of the Black sea).

Interesting, thanks.  I guess as time went by, and after having their own identity when they converged in Crimea with other natives of Crimea also embracing Islam resulting in inter-marriages, the Tartars as we see them later looked less mongoloid or not at all as compared to the much earlier ones of the steppes.
