November 01, 2023, 03:43:43 pm Ruhi_Rose: Yes .. making lots of dua everyday ..... watching those real life video clips, my face feels wet with tears all the time.  May ALLAH grant the best to these wonderful, brave & steadfast martyrs,  Ameen ya Allah.
November 01, 2023, 03:38:26 pm Zainab_M: Keep praying, praying a lot for Gaza. It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.
October 26, 2023, 03:40:19 pm N. Truth Seeker: Don't forget to look up MV Blog Zainab's Lounge for our Gaza updates.
October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.
July 29, 2023, 03:02:07 am Zainab_M: Yesterday was Ashura, Muharram 10, 1444 (July 27, 2023).  Read about this very tragic day and details of the world's greatest 7th century revolutionary: WHO WAS HUSSEIN.
June 28, 2023, 09:48:39 am Zainab_M: Walaikum As Salaam.  This was the first Hajj open to all after the pandemic. It was attended by 2.6 million Muslims.

 BismEm

"O ye who believe! When ye rise up for prayer, wash you faces, and your hands up to the elbows, and lightly rub your heads and (wash) your feet up to the ankles. And if ye are unclean, purify yourselves."  (5:6) Al-Maidah.

The Noble Quran tells us to wash our face, hands upto elbows and feet.  Very simply described.  Apparently the reference is to wash properly so that you are cleansed.  So from where does the practice of washing face and hands "3 times" come into effect?  Hadith or what?

LOL ,, yes I'm afraid it's again Hadith as usual.

[Tirmidhi #417, Transmitted by Nasa'i, Ibn Majah,
and AbuDawud transmitted something to the same effect.
]

"A desert Arab came to Allah's Apostle and asked
him about ablution. He demonstrated (washing each part of his body)
thrice, and then said: That is (the method) of the ablution.
And he who does more than this has done wrong, transgressed
the limit and has oppressed (himself)."

The above Hadith not just orders the "3 times" theory but also adds that if you wash more than 3 times you have committed a violation  Cheesy

There's another one by Mr. Bukhari as well.

Hadith - Bukhari 1:161, Narrated Humran
(The slave of 'Uthman) "I saw 'Uthman bin 'Affan asking for a tumbler of water (and when it was brought) he poured water over his hands and washed them thrice and then put his right hand in the water container and rinsed his mouth, washed his nose by putting water in it and then blowing it out. Then he washed his face and forearms up to the elbows thrice, passed his wet hands over his head and washed his feet up to the ankles thrice. Then he said, 'Allah's Apostle said if anyone performs ablution like that of mine and offers a two-rak'at prayer during which he does not think of anything else (not related to the present prayer) then his past sins will be forgiven.'  After performing the ablution 'Uthman said, 'I am going to tell you a Hadith which I would not have told you, had I not been compelled by a certain Holy Verse (the sub narrator 'Urwa said: This verse is: 'Verily, those who conceal the clear signs and the guidance which we have sent down...)' (2:159). I heard the Prophet  saying, 'If a man performs ablution perfectly and then offers the compulsory congregational prayer, Allah will forgive his sins committed between that (prayer) and the (next) prayer till he offers it.' "

Apart from the fact that this above Hadith is completely unwarranted from the Quranic view point, I don't know why it refers to Verse 2:159.  This Verse states: "Lo! Those who hide the proofs and the guidance which We revealed, after We had made it clear to mankind in the Scripture: such are accursed of Allah and accursed of those who have the power to curse."  This has nothing to do with wudu in particular.

O dear!  yeah you're right brother.  It's again from Hadith.  I've always wondered by "3 times."  I mean, one needs to wash themselves until they're sure they are fully cleansed.  That depends on how polluted one is.  The need to wash oneself might be once, or 3 times or 10 times, depending on how dirty they are.  But hadithers simply have to put a number on everything.

Exactly, that's the right approach which is also taken for granted in Verse 5:6.

And the Hadith guys should also know that farting does not invalidate the wudu .. as already discussed earlier with logical reasons.

Ahahaa ha ha.  Agree 100% sister Heba.  The point very correctly highlighted in that post was the Hadithers put their question backwards.  They ask, "how would we know passing wind breaks the wudu if it wasn't for the Hadith because the Quran does not say it?"  This question should actually be put as:  "If the Quran does not say that passing wind invalidates wudu, then why must the Hadith say it and make its own rules?"
