Assalam Alaikum
Dear All
I am still confused about the way most Muslim women dress.Specially a Black overall with a small window for eyes.Even in scorching heat of Arabia a Black robe is worn and Black color attracts more heat than other colors.Does the Glorious Quraan say clearly about women's dress?As I know that Islam did not come for Arabs but for all Nations.
Someone kindly explain with reference from Holy Quraan/

Walaikum Salaam brother Abbottian.  I pray you are well. 

The color black is basically a personal choice.  It's commonly a sign of mourning, but at other times, it's symbolic of simplicity compared to bright colors. 

Concerning the exact dress code as emphasized in the Noble Quran, we have put up a very comprehensive post with references to the Quran only and also inclusive of those Quranic references to balance the specific  information on dress code.  Kindly check the following link.  If you read it carefully, InshAllah, it will provide clarification.
