Assalam Alaikum
Last night at a dinner there was a discussion about Quraan Vs Hadith. I being alone among bunch of Hadith lovers. One of them asked me this question"Where in Quraan you find LA ILAHA ILLALLAHO MUHAMMAD RASOOL ALLAH as a single verse and how you can become a Muslim without this Kalima and Quraan has no value without Sunnah of the Prophet"?Although I replied them  that the Kalima is mentioned in Quraan at different places and we have to believe that there is no God except Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.
I would like to have more knowledge about the Kalima as to when and how it was arranged and by whom and how this information came down to us?
Thanks

Walaikum As-salaam brother.  Your reply was very correct.   I was also asked the same question by a Hadith fan about six months ago.  My reply was basically the same as yours, which I put up in detail in our general Hadith board.  You can check the thread for all the essential points.

I went to your link sister Zeynab but I didn't find an answer on how to perform Salat by reading the Quran alone.
Can anyone enlighten me on that?

Check out our post that's more explicit on this topic titled 'Does the Quran contain the exact procedure of salaat?'

Kindly read it carefully from start to finish.  It contains the essential references directly from the Noble Quran.
