November 01, 2023, 03:43:43 pm Ruhi_Rose: Yes .. making lots of dua everyday ..... watching those real life video clips, my face feels wet with tears all the time.  May ALLAH grant the best to these wonderful, brave & steadfast martyrs,  Ameen ya Allah.
November 01, 2023, 03:38:26 pm Zainab_M: Keep praying, praying a lot for Gaza. It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.
October 26, 2023, 03:40:19 pm N. Truth Seeker: Don't forget to look up MV Blog Zainab's Lounge for our Gaza updates.
October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

Narrated Ibn Abi Aufa:
We were in the company of Allah's Apostle on a journey. He said to a man, "Get down and mix Sawiq (powdered barley) with water for me." The man said, "The sun (has not set yet), O Allah's Apostle." The Prophet again said to him, "Get down and mix Sawiq with water for me." The man again said, "O Allah's Apostle! The sun!" The Prophet said to him (for the third time) "Get down and mix Sawiq with water for me." The man dismounted and mixed Sawiq with water for him. The Prophet drank it and then beckoned with his hand (towards the East) and said, "When you see the night falling from this side, then a fasting person should break his fast." (Sahih Bukhari 3:31:162).

Along with defaming the Prophet (sw), this disgraceful Hadith seems to have another purpose as well.  This type of horrible hadiths are an attempt to Christianize Islam.  As we know, the Christians who have changed their Divine Scripture, have also changed their method of fasting.  Christians have allowed themselves to take liquids like water, juices, tea, coffee etc.  Powdered or crushed barley mixed with water is also a liquid drink often taken during summer.   Thus, it's very likely that this hadith is cunningly trying to make the consumption of liquids permissible for Muslims during fasting by portraying such lies.  These hadith transmitters thought that if they say the Prophet took a liquid drink while fasting, then all Muslims will start doing the same.  But by the Grace of Allah, the Noble Quran is intact and no one can change it.  Allah has Himself taken the responsibility to protecting His Final Message forever so that the disbelievers will have no excuse for their misguidance on the Last Day.  And Allah has plainly highlighted the correct method of fasting in the Quran - no liquids and no solids from Fajr to nightfall.

P.S.  Sister Ruhi:  By mistake, instead of clicking the quote button I clicked the modify button and your comment under it got deleted in this original post.  So sorry sister.  If you don't mind, please put it up again if you recall what you had written.  Sorry again sis.

Aw!  Cheesy  no problem sis.  Yeah, I think I wrote that this was obviously a sick joke by Ibn Abi Aufa and still more sick of Bukhari to compile this rubbish.

Btw, you're observation makes a lot of sense that it could have also been an attempt to change the Muslim fast, making it similar to the christians.  The unauthentic gossip that the Prophet drank barley water during sunlight will make all Muslims think it's okay to consume liquid during fasting.  But Allah is our Protector forever, and for our guidance, the Glorious Quran in original will always be available for us in this life for immediate reference.  So this hadith transmitter's shaitaani has failed.

Quite a few historical sources have stated that some of these people with the false title of "companions of the Prophet" tried to introduce the practices from the altered Torah and Bible into Islam after the passing away of the beloved Prophet (pbuh).  As rightly stated in post "Abu Huraira or Paul?"  Abdullah Ibn Amr al-Aas was one example.  I quote:  "Abu Hurairah and Abdullah Ibn Amr al-Aas (another narrator of false Hadiths) were both students of Kaab. It is also reported that Abdullah Ibn Amr acquired a big pile of books from the Jews and Christians and used it for  giving information to Muslims. Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, who is the foremost authority on the Hadith of Sahih al-Bukhari, said : 'Because of this (as mentioned above ) many prominent scholars among the students of the companions of the Prophet ( SAAW ) avoided taking information from Abdullah Ibn Amr al-Aas.'  "

We had a Christian employee at our office.   Even when he would say he was 'fasting,' he would still not miss lunch  Grin   Not just liquid, but he would also eat solids.  Once when he said he was fasting, I saw him eating a flatbread roll (which is something like pitta bread or nan) filled with mashed potatoes.  He not only drank water but also had a glass of pepsi  Grin Cheesy    I felt like cracking up laughing.  My brother asked him what sort of fasting was this?  He said they're allowed to drink liquids and simple foods but not rich foods.  Then my brother asked him who allowed them to come up with such ideas by changing the original rules of Allah?  he said some "chief priest" authorized it as "okay." I thought to myself that "chief priest" better watch out on the Day of Judgment.  How many people he has misguided with his pathetically wrong orders.

Cheesy Cheesy  Hilarious!  there's no dearth of strange sinners in this world ......

And yes, Sister Ruhi.  That's an interesting example.  Abdullah Ibn Amr al-Aas is another dangerous person along with Abu Huraira one needs to beware of.

I pray and hope Brother Abbottonian is fine.  Most importantly, I pray for his wife's health.  We haven't seen him here nor heard from him for a very long time.  Knowing of his wife's illness, we're really worried for getting no news from him for such a great length of time.

May Allah Almighty keep him and his family safe and well.  Ameen.
