It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

Yeah, sure sis.  As you would know, every Surah of the Noble Quran is divided into several sections known as Rukus. A Ruku consists of a certain number of Ayats, all of which deal with one topic.  The purpose of putting Rukus signs at the side of Quranic pages periodically is to separate the different topics within every single Surah.  It's quite the same as paragraphs, I think.  There are altogether 540 Rukus in the Quran.  The Ruku signs were not used during the time of the Prophet (S) but came about almost 400 years after the death of the Prophet (S).  The actual purpose of applying the Ruku signs was for Taraweeh prayers.  They reckoned that if one Ruku of the Quranic page was recited in each rakaat of the taraweeh salaat, the imam would be able to finish the entire Quran exactly on the 27th night of Ramadan.  Besides, as you must have observed, the Ruku signs make the reading of the Quran very convenient for all readers.  During my daily readings of the Quran, I make sure I finish at a Ruku.  I put the bookmark on that page and then begin reading the following day from the Ruku I stopped on the previous day.

Thanks sis.   I follow it now, and I suppose after the completion of each ruku in Taraweeh prayers, the ruku and sajoud must be done physically, right?

I think u r right.  Taraweeh prayers are maximum of 20 rakats and during each night of Taraweeh prayer, one 'juz' (or one part) of the Quran is finished.  'Juz' is the same as 'siparah.'  I always do my salaat-al-Layl in Ramadan at home and don't go for Taraweeh. My husband sometimes does, but usually he too prays the night prayers at home after Isha.  So, as far as I think, while reciting a single 'juz' the hafez stops at every ruku sign, and performs the physical ruku and sajoud.

Please know, Taraweeh prayer is not fardh (or compulsory).  Therefore, before offering it, one must make sure to offer the Isha prayer.  That's my personal advise.  Even when I do occasionally go for Taraweeh, I don't feel comfortable at the idea of missing my regular Isha prayer.

Btw, there's a difference between Taraweeh and salat-al-Leil.  Salat-al-leil is offered like any nafl prayer and exactly the same way as fard or sunnah rakats.  But in Taraweeh one has to recite a whole 'juz' with bowing and prostrating in between, after completion till each ruku sign.

Yes, right.  This is what I wanted to know.

We too pray salat-al-leil instead of Taraweeh.  I normally start with 8 rakats of nafl for salat-al-Leil and gradually increase as the Ramadan days proceed, and by the last 10 days of Ramadan I increase the salat-al-leil upto 20 rakats.  But my husband prays 20 rakats from day one of Ramadan.  And yeah, after Isha, of course.

Thanks sis.

Lo! Allah hath bought from the believers their lives and their wealth because the Garden will be theirs: they shall fight in the way of Allah and shall slay and be slain. It is a promise which is binding on Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. Who fulfilleth His covenant better than Allah? Rejoice then in your bargain that ye have made, for that is the supreme triumph.9:111
