Coward nature of Israel ?

I have one question ,need ur help to understand this verse  59:14, can anyone throw some light  please ?

 

They will not fight against you in a body save in fortified villages or from behind walls. Their adversity among themselves is very great. Ye think of them as a whole whereas their hearts are divers. That is because they are a folk who have no sense.  59:14 

 

As far i know surah 59 Al-Hashr was revealed regarding the people of Israel ,who fought against Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) ? Right ? but what am asking is verse 59: 14 is not only talking about the Jewish people in the 7th century rather it is also talking about the nature & cowardness of all jews in general, ?  if am not wrong history also proves that yahodi's was never bold enough to fight openly,also there is no record of '' fighting behind walls''  ? not any of them fighting from behind walls before mean at the time of prophet (pbuh) ? or is there any record ?

I am asking about the portion of the verse "  from behind walls" ?



what this verse means ? Does Quran made  prophecy that jews will fight you (Muslims) from behind walls ? as today we find type of Jews, who have contructed one of the largest walls to fight against Muslims and to ensure their safety of course but does it mean that prophecy has come true  ? because as i said and asked above behind Walls were never used by the people of Israel against Muslims at the time of prophet (pbuh) ? thus verse also referred to Jews' nature to fight behind walls and to be behind walls in future as well ? as they are and the author of Quran Allah AlMighty knows that very well , though Knowledge of the unseen is something that Allah alone has kept for Himself but If the verse reference is correct then this accurate descriptions about the people of Israel, is further prove for the folks who have no sense ,that the Noble Quran is indeed a Divine Book from Allah Almighty.

Walaikum As-Salaam dear Sister Muslima. 

I think the reference is to the hypocrites or munafiqs of Medinah.  These munafiqs gradually turned against the Muslims of Medinah with their leader as Abdullah bin Ubbey.  He became envious of the Prophet's leadership status.  When they saw that the Jews of Medinah were also not pleased with the Prophet (pbuh), the munafiqs and Jews often joined hands in enemity against the Muslims.  Fighting from behind walls was a sign of cowardice especially in those days when battles were not fought with guns but with swords, spears and bows & arrows.  The sign of cowardly fighters was to shower arrows or throw spears from behind walls for their constant protection because they were too afraid to come face to face with their opponents.  And fighting from behind walls with such weapons probably wouldn't be as affective.  In my opinion, that's the reference. 

Cowardly fighters still follow this strategy.  For example the wahabiis or takfiris who are presently attacking and fighting in Syria are also doing the same.  Of course they're firing bullets through their guns.  They are occupying civilian homes and from inside these houses they make holes in walls and fire outside.  They have ruined thousands of civilian houses this way, and obviously since they're afraid to step out, their achievements are limited.  They can only fight as snipers, not really like brave soldiers. 

As for the Jews of Medinah were concerned, they were too weak to challenge the Muslims on their own.  For this reason they often showed treachery either by joining hands with the munafiqs .. and in the battle of Uhad, as far as I know, they also supported the Meccans because of which the Muslims were compelled to banish them from Medinah.

The modern Jews of Israel are just as cowardly.  Even though they get $3 billion from American every year and the best of modern military hardware, they still fear the Hezbollah and Hamas fighters who do not have superior weapons like the Jews at all and are also lesser in number.

All kuffar's ,Unbelievers  are cowards, whether they were the jews of madinah or are the todays modern jews of israel , fear is instilled into their hearts , And He cast terror into their hearts 59:2 ,Allah Almighty had put fear into their hearts that's why They were and are still naturally afraid and will be InshAllah.
