November 01, 2023, 03:43:43 pm Ruhi_Rose: Yes .. making lots of dua everyday ..... watching those real life video clips, my face feels wet with tears all the time.  May ALLAH grant the best to these wonderful, brave & steadfast martyrs,  Ameen ya Allah.
November 01, 2023, 03:38:26 pm Zainab_M: Keep praying, praying a lot for Gaza. It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.
October 26, 2023, 03:40:19 pm N. Truth Seeker: Don't forget to look up MV Blog Zainab's Lounge for our Gaza updates.
October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.
July 29, 2023, 03:02:07 am Zainab_M: Yesterday was Ashura, Muharram 10, 1444 (July 27, 2023).  Read about this very tragic day and details of the world's greatest 7th century revolutionary: WHO WAS HUSSEIN.
June 28, 2023, 09:48:39 am Zainab_M: Walaikum As Salaam.  This was the first Hajj open to all after the pandemic. It was attended by 2.6 million Muslims.

 BismEm

June 15, 2014:  As-Salam Alaykum.  With the blessed month of Ramadan less than a fortnight away (InshAllah), Ramadan Mubarak and Ramadan Kareem to all.  First I thank Allah for granting us another chance to observe this month as best as we can.  Secondly I pray to HIM for granting us the resolve to go through the blessed month as properly as we can, and to accept our efforts / our duas.  Ameen.

Since many Muslims do not break their fast at the proper time as stated in the Noble Quran, this is the right time to confirm this fact to make sure you end your fasts at the prescribed time as announced by Allah.  Otherwise we only take the huge risk of invalidating our fasts.
In this regard, kindly and carefully read our post:  BE CAREFUL TO BREAK YOUR FAST AT THE RIGHT TIME.

Additionally, to know until what time you can eat sahoor :  Until what time can one eat for 'sahoor' (or sehri)

Also, Ramadan Sahoor & Fatoor timings and Fajr & Maghrib prayers

Walaikum Salaam dear Sister Smiley   Thank you.  Ramadan Kareem, Mubarak, to you and your wonderful family as well.   All praise to Allah for giving us another opportunity to experience another blessed month of Ramadan.  Earthly life being so uncertain, one never knows which Ramandan might be the last they will experience.  Each such blessed month only gives us more chances to collect blessings and rewards from Allah.

Your reminder on the proper time for taking Iftar is highly important.  Many Muslims aren't aware of it.  I request all our readers to kindly go through that post which contains direct Quranic references.

Iftar must be taken approximately 25 minutes after Maghrib or sunset.  Sahoor can be taken until the start of Fajr or dawn.  However, the correct Fajr timing is usually bungled up by our imams.  The link above as given by Sister Ruhi will help to clarify the matter.

Allah bless.

Lo! Allah hath bought from the believers their lives and their wealth because the Garden will be theirs: they shall fight in the way of Allah and shall slay and be slain. It is a promise which is binding on Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. Who fulfilleth His covenant better than Allah? Rejoice then in your bargain that ye have made, for that is the supreme triumph.9:111

Wa'Salaam and thanks a billion dear sis Ruhi  Smiley   What a lovely greeting along with some excellent reminders.  My family and I wish the same for you, your family and all precious members of our team plus the guest readers.

Most Muslims take the trouble to fast for 30 days, and each of those 30 days they actually break their fast at "maghrib as-shams" not "nightfall" as specified by the Noble Quran.  These avoidable blunders as a result of choosing the Hadith over the Quran are absolutely heart-breaking.

Thank you very much.  My household is also waiting for Ramadan to begin .. not because of recipes for cooking the evening meals  Cheesy  but because of our daily Ramadan prayer schedule of the family and extended family we truly enjoy.  May Allah Almighty accept the efforts of all believers in this blessed month, and always.  Ameen.

Really?   Cheesy  You're right.  It gotta be cookies.  It happened once with me 3 years ago or more.  Clearing cookie & cache resolved the issue.  But slight problems do sometimes persist if cookies folder gets too cramped.

And now the blessed month is over, which passed with so much of bliss and happiness for my family and me.  Endless thanks to Allah.  May HE grant us acceptance and salvation.  Nothing more important than that.  It's the ultimate triumph.

While I'm not into giving full recognition to Eid which is not supported by the Noble Quran, yet I congratulate my brethren on utilizing it as a day of reunion of the ever-fragmented Ummah.  Therefore Eid Mubarak.  But I request my brethren to please refrain from extravagance or unnecessary, colorful and costly celebrations.  Close of the month of Ramadan is not a matter to make merry and celebrate.  Start of Shabaan is a time to reflect on your accomplishments during the past month and try to adhere to the resolves and promises you made to Allah.  Simple family get-togethers to thank Allah is a wonderful idea.  But please no ostentatious celebrations.  That falls blatantly outside the boundaries of the Noble Quran.

What a refreshing and proper message you've put up dear Sister Heba.   I'm glad the blessed month went well for all of you.  I can say the same at my end.  We have only Allah to thank.  Yes, the only reason I return Eid greetings to my brethren in a sombre manner is for the purpose of unity.  Even if Eid brings a gesture of unity for only 3 days, let it be, I say.  However, I can only repeat your words that NO dazzling celebrations.

Thanks my sis Smiley  I glad to know you observed all your fasts even though I know your health is a bit fragile with your chronic nerve pains, migraines and asthma.  May Allah Almighty grant you still greater reward.  Ameen.

Aw thanks sis!  though I'm comparatively fortunate.  There are people who fast despite suffering from much more serious conditions.

Actually you know what?  I have gotten so used to the Ramadan routine for the past one month that since a couple of days after Ramadan I simply missed my breakfast and lunch and never felt the need for it.  Just ate at dinner time as I used to during Ramadan.  I guess it will take a while to return to the usual eating routine Smiley

Smiley  That's exactly what's been happening with my husband and my two older kids.  Though I've been gobbling my daytime meals since the last two days after Ramadan, those guys just don't seem to feel their hunger pangs until after Maghrib.  You're right, one needs a bit of time to switch over from one routine to another.
