It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

Thank you my brother.  That's beautifully written.  I too prefer to keep the literal meaning of taqwa and then the conceptualization of overall piety automatically proceeds.  Definitely for a believer, the extent of their endurance proves the strength of their Faith and sincerity toward Allah.

Most Islamic jurists have combined the actual or literal definition of taqwa with the standard meaning of piety.  As a result, the specific attribute of humble endurance and patience do not stand out as vividly as needed in their writings on taqwa to underscore its indispensability.

Finally, for further benefit of our readers, I'll follow it up by quoting a few more verses that are directly linked with the remarkable quality of patience of a truly humble mind that gets its strength and courage with the clear awareness of Allah in their minds and their commitment to serve Him alone, regardless of earthly hurdles.

"O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient." (2:153)

(In original Arabic the underlined words translate as "InnAllaha Ma as-Sabireen"  which is a very short and easy-to-memorize Quranic du'a for tawqa and an excellent one).

"And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast, Who say, when a misfortune strikes them: Indeed! we are Allah's and indeed! unto Him we are returning."  (2:155-156).

(In original Arabic the underlined words translate as "Inna Lilahey wa Inna Ilahey Rajoun".. which is a very well-known and lovely Quranic supplication.  Contrary to the practice of some Muslims, this Verse is not exclusively meant to be recited only during the death of someone, but requires to be recited every day in all situations - sad or happy).

"Indeed! herein verily are portents, for indeed! We are ever putting (mankind) to the test.   (23:30)"

In the above Verse 23:30, Allah confirms that life is full of tests.  It's a fact we need to keep in mind constantly.

"Seek help in patience and prayer; and truly it is hard save for the humble-minded, Who know that they will have to meet their Rab, and that unto Him they are returning."  (2:45-46).

Above Verses 2:45-46 are quite similar to Verse 2:153.  Allah affirms that the excellence of patience does not come easily unless a believer possesses humility and is submissive, respectful and unassertive toward Allah.  The arrogant ones who even after claiming to be "believers" have limited forbearance and stubbornly think it's their right to complain to Allah and quarrel with Him just as they would with their fellow human beings will never understand the priority and value of taqwa.  Their weak Faith blocks their vision to understand its relevance.  It's often pointless arguing with such folks.  But it's their problem and they only end up ruining their own souls as very articulately expressed in Verse 22:11 .. "He loses both the world and the Hereafter. That is the sheer loss."

May The Almighty Allah bestow upon us every bit of His guidance and fill our lives with patience and humility for His sake.  Ameen ya Rab.
