As-salam Alaiykum and hi my dear folks.  Special dua and good wishes for you my dear dear Sis Zeynab .. Sis sent you a email yesterday.

Very cool post.  Alhumdulilah.  In Verse 3:96/97 the Quran plainly confirms that Kaaba was the first place built for the remembrance and worship of Allah alone.

"Lo! the first Sanctuary appointed for mankind was that at Becca, a blessed place, a guidance to the peoples; Wherein are plain memorials (of Allah's guidance); the place where Abraham stood up to pray; and whosoever entereth it is safe."  (3:96-97).

Jews and Christians often claim the Temple of Jerusalem is the oldest place of worship.  But there is solid evidence that the Kaaba is undeniably much older. 

Prophet Abraham pbuh lived some one thousand years before Prophet Moses pbuh.  And Prophet Abraham didn't have any links to Jerusalem.  This was pre-Exodus era.  Allah knows best but most likely at that time the city of Jerusalem didn't even exist and neither was that territory called Jerusalem.  The Christians in their altered Bibles have themselves mentioned that Jerusalem was built by Prophet Solomon about 450 years after Moses (1 Kings 6: 1).  This was the period when the Jews began looking upon Jerusalem as their Qibla for Monotheistic worship.  Construction of the Kaaba is fully confirmed in the Noble Quran that it was built by Abraham and his son Ishmael, who, I repeat, lived approximately one thousand years before Prophet Moses and approximately 1,400 years before Prophet Solomon.  Thus, it is an undisputed fact that the Kaaba was built before the Jewish Qibla and is the oldest place for Monotheistic (Tawheed) worship.
