November 01, 2023, 03:38:26 pm Zainab_M: Keep praying, praying a lot for Gaza. It's worse than a prison .. it's a concentration camp.  Children as young as 10 or 11 are having to care for their younger siblings ages 2, 3 and 4 becoz many have lost both parents.  It's a very, very, very tearful situation there.

October 20, 2023, 04:24:44 pm Zainab_M: Right sister Heba.  Gaza hospital bombing has the fingerprints of Israel all over it.  For Israel this is no big crime.  They have done this and much worse many times in the past and intend to do the same and worse many more times in near future.
October 20, 2023, 04:20:20 pm Heba E. Husseyn: Catching Zionist lies isn't hard. Soon after Gaza hospital bombing killing and maiming hundreds, Israel was quick to accuse Islamic Jihad of a misfired rocket.  That didn't sound plausible because IJ does not have such sophisticated bombing devices.  Zionist lie was fully exposed when anglican archbishop of Jerusalem,Hosam Naoum,  said today that 3 or 4 days prior to boming Israel had warned Gaza hospital to evacuate. Yet CIA claims in its flawed analysis that the rocket did not come from Israel.  But conveniently does not explain how Israel could have known 4 days earlier that a "misfired" rocket from IJ was coming.  Yet on the basis of this flawed & bias analysis of CIA, Biden is comforting Israel he believes Israel didn't do that war crimes bombing.

June 28, 2023, 09:48:39 am Zainab_M: Walaikum As Salaam.  This was the first Hajj open to all after the pandemic. It was attended by 2.6 million Muslims.

As-Salam Alaykum  and  hiyo  kiddies!   backem with  a  reminder  Cheesy

Time flies.  It's already the 6th day of Ramadan.  If you're below 12 years of age, fasting is not obligatory for you.  In fact, you are too young to fast.  But offer your salat as your dear parents teach you, and try to read a little of the Noble Quran every day.  If you're reading it in Arabic, MashAllah .. very good.  But don't forget to read the translation .. presuming that you don't understand Arabic.

Allah bless you.  Have a nice and fruitful Ramadan, InshAllah, ameen.  rdht

Wowie!  so sweeet !!   Little girl focused on the Noble Quran; the elegant streaming hijab and the cute kitty at the corner.

Time sure does fly.  First week of Ramadan is almost over.  Very thoughtful suggestion Sister Ruhi.  Kids 12 or 13 and below must never be encouraged to fast as they're yet too young.  Generally, for healthy kids, around fifteen seems to be the right age to begin fasting.  But Faith orientation must start much earlier by beginning to learn to offer prayer and reading parts of the Noble Quran containing basic substance easy for kids to follow.  As we know, the Noble Quran deals with every facet of life including legal matters, divorce rules, rules of business transaction, bequest etc.  These are more serious contents that children may not grasp.  Serial reading of the Noble Quran, chapter by chapter, should start from the time children are 18.  Prior to that, parents should pick the Ayats necessary for kids to know as starters.  Preferably, such reading sessions should be done as a group in the family.  Otherwise parents must at least get involved by picking the contents for children until they are 18.  In some cases kids can start reading the Quran serially from age 16.  Depends on their maturity level.  All of our kids are still below 18, some well below.  So, this is the method my husband and I implement to help them with the reading of the Quran.

Exactly Sister Heba.  In our family and extended family children begin fasting from ages between 14 and 16, depending on their health and intellectual ability.  Of course, fasting is not obligatory for teens who are physically or mentally too unhealthy to cope, just as it isn't for adults in this category.  Furthermore, this clarification of yours is more essential for parents than kids.  In many families, Faith orientation of kids is delayed because parents aren't too interested.  In some cases they aren't bothered at all.  Kids of such households cannot be blamed for little or no orientation.

Thank me Sis and Bro for this beautifully essential and brief discussion.  Yes of course, with children that young it's absolutely necessary for parents to get involved in their Quranic readings.  Like you said, the right time to begin serial reading of the Quran is at least 16, preferably 18.  Until then, parents got to keep helping their children as to which passages of the Noble Quran they must start reading and understanding as starters.  Thanks again for the adding that.
